My biggest inspiration is easily music, it dictates my movements on the canvas and general ideas. Following music, my other influences can be politics, nature, more importantly the movement of nature and natural energies. And finally I definitely draw inspiration from other artists and my instructors at school. They are very helpful in developing and revealing techniques and ideas, they are a big part of my growth as an artist.

About me:

Hello My name is Zach and I am an aspiring artist/art student. I am also a musician, but as of late, my art has come first. I am 25 years old and live in Southern California in a town called Santa Clarita. About my artwork: My work is a celebration of shape, color, composition and expression. I feel that I am interested in world issues, political events, and other things like that. But I haven't learned how to paint that on a canvas yet, its easier, or I prefer to paint the natural color and energies around me. The area of the world I live in is aesthetically pleasing to me and I like to use that in my work. My Inspiration: Natural colors I see, movements of music I listen too. The color schemes of man made structures collide with natural earth made colors in an interesting way to me as well. I am very into the process and actions of the painting itself more than the finished result. My Process: The most important part of the process for me, or the part I believe i have the most mental control over is the colors I choose and the tools I use to apply the color. After that my process becomes very intuitive. I do have ideas of shapes and composition going into a painting, but I don't let planning interfere with the process, I let music, movement, energy, and other forces plan and form the composition.
