I was born in a small town in Maine. When I was 13 I found Simon & Garfunkel records. I listened to them for a few years and decided I'll be a singer, too! I was tone deaf and didn't like the idea of lessons so I watched on TV how Mr. Simon's hands moved on the guitar. That's how I learned to play the guitar. By singing along, I overcame my tone deafness, or maybe created a binary system of remembering pitches. Like a computer. I have a good memory. I read about theater at Dartmouth College and met Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper, who also liked to do shows. Pavols not from America. We made a theater group called Nature Theater of Oklahoma and we go all over the place! I started making short films. I would have preferred to just act in them, but someone had to direct. I love editing! When I was 25 I recorded my first album, Songs of Straw & Gold. I haven't listened to it for awhile, but I remember it having some nice touches;) Then when I was older I made my new album, Athletes of Romance. My friend Robert Johanson helped me record it and he plays and sings on it, too! He's really good. (Ha ha Rob!) I perform my music live at places. As far as playing live goes, I used to be very quiet between songs, but now I like to throw my two cents in! Being alive is strange!! Sentient life, after all, doesn't seem like the most natural state of things! That's kind of what my songs are about, also sex and stuff. I also want people to LOVE me and be ATTRACTED to me, so I publicize my work and hope that it will win me affection (did you see my pictures? I"M HOT!!!). Elemental themes, baby! Your work's gotta transcend you're little lifetime if it's going to shed any light on that lifetime, while your living it! That's all I'm concerned with: light! Immortality is for the birds;-) (chirp chirp!) Their all love songs, and I'll never finsih them. An atheist by traditional definition, I am always looking for something higher than what surrounds me! I want to hover gracefully above the mess! Like the beautiful, immortal hummingbird. I don't know what else to do with myself! (hah ha!)

Ahh the Moreno love rubs....I remember them well. You know he's mine right? Back off bitch.
Yeah London is harsh as usual. Things took a stupid turn a while back, but it'll sort itself out soon God willing. Diggin the music dude! Well done. When are you working for Richard again? I hear you've decided to do it full time isn't that right? A fellowship and everything? Wow man. Way to go. It's the "Dwarf For Life" fellowship isn't it? Or did my sword get crossed again?

Great show at Macor tonight!!!!! You did a marvelous job with the Leonard Cohen covers. Liked your variations. Also loved Amelia Earhart, and Isabelle-who did an awesome Undertow. I took a ton of pictures. Will try to get some to you somehow. Let's see more of you in NYC!!!
All the best!!!
P.S. Esther loved the show and was sorry that your CDs sold out before she could buy them.

You know what I just thought of the other day? When you had mono. What a strange thing for me to remember, eh? And what an awesome thing for me to post on your myspace!

So how did your holidays go? I did the "all work no play" thing and now I'm having my Shining pyschotic break. Actually, I feel relieved that everything is just plain getting back to normal.

Thank you for the good wishes! I had fun. I ventured home for a week to celebrate and soak up as much autumn as I could.

I too think I have good taste in music. Your music and lyrics seem ironically oxymoronic. I LOOOOVE it! It makes me happy.

Hey Zack-Glad to see that you are doing well. I believe it's been about 20 years since I've last seen you, but looking at your pictures-your resemblance to our grandpa at that age is amazing. Congrats on your new album and I hope you are having a wonderful tour! Meghan
