Born in the mountains and raised on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, Zach Ashton is someplace between the past, the present and an endless summer. Described as surf with sophistication, his music and words paint pictures of summer and conjure up images of one’s past. Often compared to a mix between Jack Johnson and Ryan Adams, Zach has chosen the road-less-traveled to arrive at his current musical state. "For me, music and words are a way in which we can actually travel in time.” Having traveled much of the world, Ashton embraces culture and merges his experiences within his music. As a professional artist he has had the opportunity to perform with Grammy winning artists such as Dionne Warwick and Terence Trent D'arby. He has had his songs broadcast for more than 30 million viewers on Brazilian telenovelas and has performed for crowds exceeding 20,000. He is a lover of culture, nature and life itself. -
