| About ZAIUS |
|
Birthed out of Southern Illinois, ZAIUS weaned itself off the nipple of stoner metal gods Black Sabbath and Clutch, newcomers to the ever-growing list of greatest bands. The quad formed in 1999 writing a variety of material bleeding from Zeppelin to Alice In Chains. Their sound has progressed to what can only be described as a monster truck mudding through of sea of blood, sweat, and beers. The themes to ZAIUS songs revolve around river pirates, drag races, midget porn rallies, and any epiphany bought by a morning hangover. ZAIUS has two albums under their belt: their self-titled debut in 2002 and the highly acclaimed "Harvest Moon Overdrive" in 2005. Highlights of the band’s career include opening for national acts Dust for Life, Jackyl, King Valley, Eyehategod, and Zeke, hundreds of shows, and being part of the SIMC (Southern Illinois Metal Collective) which brings music of all styles to the Southern Illinois music scene.
