lisa	Nov 17 2008 4:17 AM the comparison game is very dangerous...everyone's academic path is different. it all depends on how far you want to go...in my case, i went all the way (almost) and will be paying off my loans until i'm 57. but it all gets you where you are...which is wonderful. even if it just means you met someone that made a difference in your life, or you found a new way of wiping your ass. sometimes, those positive things don't appear very clearly until years later. all that matters is that the universe will continue to spin and in the end, none of this shit even matters. but yeah, politics and economics are in the shitter. wanna move to canada?
