With a professional career starting at the age of fifteen years old winning a "Battle of the Bands" contest with his band "Eulogy," co-formed with Rusty Anderson (currently Paul McCartney's lead guitarist, and studio musician extrordinaire.) To Paisley Park and Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam, songs in major Hollywood movies, national television commercials, jingles and Radio spots, Zallen is a self taught multi-instrumentalist and composer with quite a colorful musical past. His compositions show a yearning for classic Rock and Pop melodies from yesteryear, with an ear towards the contemporary.
Zallen is not content to sit still stylisticly. Exploration is what seems to keep his passion burning throughout his numerous musical incarnations. Perhaps Tony Visconti (Producer of David Bowie, T-Rex, etc.) sums it up best.
"Zallen's music is awesome in scope, covers a lot of ground and different styles, with an emerging style of his own and has obviously paid much attention to the guitar heroes of our time as well as the best songwriters.
