Zamorano are an exciting popular band from North London who’s catchy tunes have attracted great reviews including one from XFM DJ Claire Dickinson.
This four-piece band consists of charismatic front man Gaz Murfin whose soulful vocals make their live performances particularly addictive listening. The backline is made up of lead guitarist Stef Butler whose choppy licks and powerful riffs are perfectly complemented by the tight steady playing of Andrew Brassleay on bass guitar. The outfit is completed by the energetic drumming of Dave Massey to make them an outstanding live act.

"Tonight the Metro is hosting four new bands,some better than others, the pick of the bunch is North London's Zamorano. The Fourpiece start proceedings with 'Saviour' which kicks in like a more ferocious Razorlight's' Golden Touch' and Lead singer Gareth Murfin leads us into the the singalong chorus "don't keep me waiting.........." Early on it seems that hooklines are one of the bands strong points as their second song 'I and You' warms up the crowd with it's 'ba ba ba da ba ba ba da' catchy chorus.
As the lads rip through their set theres influences aplenty apparent, 'Nightbus' has a very Kinks type feel to it, 'Wait' has echoes of Oasis, highlighting Gareths strong vocals. And 'Stay' has a Doves, 'Catch the Sun' era sound going on.
Apparently these guys have only played a handful of gigs,and their sound is surprisingly tight, considering.
They finish off the night with their best song 'Give it up', which with it's heavy bass and echoey guitar is a cool moody finish to the set.
