Piano. Just the word conjures up images of music and dancing fingers. Motion. Freedom of movement. As such, the artist captures the freedom of dancing fingers eloquently on this piano album with wonderfully crafted pieces, each composed during its performance. [73 minutes]

Press Release
Music has been a passion of Adam's throughout his life. He is grateful for having had the opportunity to explore music as first a hobby, and then as a profession.
Adam's primary instrument is the piano, and similarly, all keyboard instruments are at his fingertips. He plays several other instruments (including guitar, bass, and percussion), often incorporating them into his musical projects. This site features his own piano creations.
With a gift for improvisation, and a solid musical ear, he has been able to swiftly build his proficiency as a performer, recording artist, arranger, and composer. Often, Adam will sit down at the piano or with a guitar, and he will start playing something new, literally composing while performing. Most of those songs are but fleeting moments.
His first CD titled "Etched In Stone" (recorded in October of 1999, released in December of 1999) is an example of his ability to compose on-the-spot. The entire album consists of songs that were written while they were being recorded. In other words, the songs are all "first-takes", never having been played before by anyone (and many, never since). Adam has expressed that the takes are not perfect. However, the ideas and natural beauty of the pieces, as performed and recorded from an 1885 Steinway grand piano, are enjoyable and inspiring. Drifting Tide and Sea Chanty are featured here.
After years of recording other artists CDs and performing with the world beat band "MAMADOU", Adam finally released a second piano collection (available by download) titled "In Motion" (recorded in December of 2007, released in January of 2008). This instrumental collection features 11 original songs, plus 3 original arrangements of pre-existing songs (Scarborough Fair, Recuerdos de la Alhambra, and Sariri Paya).
"In Motion" inspired a follow-up (Volume 2) piano collection (available by download) aptly titled "Joy In Motion" (recorded March of 2008, released in April of 2008). This collection contains some of Adam's best piano performances captured on recordings. The song Joy In Motion was originally conceived with the other compositions found on Etched In Stone back in 1999, but Adam was not pleased with the quality of it, so he rearranged it and recorded it on this album (almost 9 years later). Joy In Motion and Unfolding Blossom (showcasing Adam's ability to improvise soothing melodies) are featured here.
Finally, in November of 2008, Adam combined the two recent releases in to a compilation album (available by download and on CD), chosing 21 all original compositions from "In Motion" and "Joy In Motion". The new album, and Adam's third (3rd) is titled "Piano In Motion". Be sure to get a copy!
As a fulltime performer with West African World Fusion ensemble MAMADOU, he finds his place as the keyboardist (and backing vocalist) of the band. There, he is fortunate enough to perform with his wife Michelle (an amazing vocalist). Adam notes that he enjoys performing with the talented ensemble the most rewarding.

Adam is also a founding member of the Non Profit Group A3D. Visit them at A3Dinc.org or at myspace.com/a3dinc.
