How people create music is beyond me, so I'm in awe of it all. I listen to a lot of ambient music when I'm paying bills. Mary J. Blidge when I need some empowerment while jogging. Michael Franti is a must. If you play heavy metal, I'll leave the room.
Movies
The Royal Tenenbaums and Running With Scissors are shades of my upbringing, so I love those. I rarely go see movies...don't know why, I love to, just rarely do.

Don't really watch much TV. Not because I am "above it" but because cable is expensive!

About me: I've spent the past year as the opening act for Chonda Pierce, and I am having a BLAST! We do mostly church gigs, theatres and arenas. My passion is telling my story with humor. I talk about everything from being raised by a child psychologist who dressed me in Lederhosen (think Sound of Music) to getting baptized as an adult, in an all African American Baptist church with about a dozen five year olds. You could say I stood out.

Remembering one of our own for Memorial Day in the USA. Randall Fletcher died in Tay Ninh on 8/24/68 during an enemy ambush. You will find his name on the Vietnam Memorial, Panel 46W Line 001 in Washington, D.C.. Randy was 20 years old at the time.

This Life of FAITH, PROMISES OF GOD, JESUS HEALS, etc., REALLY WORKS! I was stung by a wasp this evening & I totally screamed when it happened cuz it felt like I was being stabbed by the tip of a knife when I picked up this dog food bowl, and I looked down to see this wasp crawling on my hand & it had stung me where I was gripping the bowl. My kids all ran to find out what I screamed about & what was going on so I took a moment to explain - but the pain was intensifying so I had to start speaking to the poison to be nullified because 'NO POISONOUS THING SHALL HARM ME!' & to my body that by the stripes of Jesus I was healed, etc. But the pain didn't stop until I got the OIL... I was still talking to my kids - we're talking like 60 to 80 seconds since the sting - so I got the oil on my left hand in order to annoint my right hand where the sting was, but as I explained in detail where the wasp was(to my kids) with the oil still on my left hand (we annoint with oil when we pray - it represents the blood of Jesus, healing - protection from God, etc.) THE PAIN IN MY RIGHT HAND JUST STARTED VANISHING.
Like, If I would have counted to 10 SINCE I DIPPED MY FINGER IN THE OIL, the pain lessened in those 10 seconds until it was nothing & I couldn't even tell where the sting had been! Praise God! God is Good! & The TRUTH really DOES set us FREE! AMEN! Just wanted to share that! Be Blessed! Michelle
