Having formed in 2004, under the often mispronounced handle of Coinslot Muse (Coinslot Moose, Coinslot Museum, Coinstar Music, etc…) this band has finally found their niche` with "Zen and the Art" and within the musical world at large. Live shows usually entail Hayley’s piping hot renditions of jazz standards A’ Capella, instrumental breakdowns, and a buffet table of original, quirky songs. Point being: they live, and love, music.
Their new full-length album “Oregon Coast Ghost” was professionally engineered at Opal Studios in Portland, Oregon, where it picked up its city polish. For a group that refers to themselves as Indie Rockers, they didn’t skip any steps at ensuring a quality product. From lyrical composition on down to a carefully mastered disc, it is a stellar first album for a bunch of left coast beach bums..

My interpretive art is a live-action performance inspired by the bands I perform with. I collaborate with other musicians to create an artistic performance that's never been seen before. While the bands play on stage, I translate their music so you hear the colors and see the sounds. Trading in paintbrushes for twisted and crumbled, recycled newspaper give me the edge and depth I need when painting. It also points out the importance of finding new uses for old things - especially when it's used to create something new. Bands/musicians/artists,that I have worked with: Tre(lowercasesounds,Nent-Agri), Noahs ark was a spaceship, SPSRecordsnstudios, Blunt Force Monkey, The Pink Snowflakes Upcoming Shows and Gallery: Feb. TBA, 2008 Word of mouth gallery March 8, 2008 Gotham Tavern w/Lisa Mann March 21, 2008 Twilight Room w/Jenny Sizzler 2008- TBA - w/Riverpool I'm always on the lookout for talented groups to perform with. So, if you are looking to add that something extra to your live show, let's collaborate. www.myspace.com/charleslazaruz
