MySpace a place for friends

I don't know if I'll be reincarnated into another life form or if my soul will last for infinity but I'd like to think something nice will happen when I reach the end of my lifetime.

I have a passing concern with the influence of commerce on our lives. Are we vessels for the capitalist machine? Part of me identifies commerce with liberty, and part of me fears commerce altogether. I like taking advantage of a capitalist culture, and I sometimes bend the rules to reach my own ends.

My friends include people past and present, some I've met face-to-face, some locals, and Eric's Trip and Lou Reed, because for whatever reason I felt inclined at some point in my MySpace history to request friendship with those names in music.

Corporate identities will only take us so far. In the end, we have to face the gallows alone

I'm interested in making polite small talk.

I'd like to meet people who are fans of popular culture like myself and motivated to be something more than a sad sack and perhaps less judgmental than the norm for our culture, although judgmental people are ok too.

Computer aficionados are welcome, and so are e-mail pen pals. I'm ready for a change of pace and some nice experiences.

There's a world of opportunity.
