About me: My name is Spyridoula Zachou, and I am a painter from Corfu, Greece. I first studied painting under Spyros Alamanos, before attending the Corfu Art School. During my studies here, my courses included free drawing, instructed by painter Melina Grammenou, as well as by sculptor and painter Angelos Gerakaris. Additionally I studied icon painting under painter and decorator Nerina Lymberopoulos, with whom I later worked professionally in interior decoration. I have also since graduated from the applied drawing department of AKTO Private School of Arts.
Alongside attending courses in sculpture, photography, history of art, decoration and icon painting, I have also been an art instructor. During the academic years 2003-2007 I gave painting lessons at the 2nd and 3rd primary schools of Corfu, while at the same time teaching architectural drawing and history of art at the decoration department of the public college of Corfu. I am passionate about my continual development in art.
Many of my paintings belong to the private collections of the Corfu Gallery and the Public Gallery of Corfu, and I list below my exhibitions
