Za Za performs music as old as the spheres and as contemporary as tomorrow.
Lindsay Adler and Ray Price came together through a mutual love of music from folk traditions around the world. These multi-instrumentalists and singers complement one another's performance on instruments as varied as the Hurdy Gurdy or Vielle a Roue, Medieval bagpipes, dulcimers, bouzouki, shruti box, percussion and guitar.
They collect their programs from French dance music, Medieval material and their own, contemporary compositions.
Audiences are treated to lively dance tunes to get them up from their seats to swirl and swoop, beautiful, meditative pieces which transport them to other times and places, Celtic love songs, intricate guitar work and mezmerizing vocal harmonies.

One winter's night as the moon rose over the dark trees, the plaintive wail and moan of bagpipes was answered by the screech and snarl of a hurdy gurdy. Their primitive sound was joined by the deep, cosmic drone and primal drums. Thus, Za Za was given life.
