Cabe destacar que sus integrantes han participado individualmente en proyectos de música clásica, contemporánea, sudamericana, afroantillana,flamenca, canto nuevo, rock y jazz..... .. .. ....Paralelo a este conocimiento de géneros diversos sus integrantes han mantenido a lo largo de 27 años un estudio incansable de la gran diversidad y riqueza de la música mexicana tradicional la cual es el "Alma Mater" de todos sus proyectos musicales y, a su vez, los ha llevado a importantes acercamientos con artistas de talla internacional como Amparo Ochoa (durante 9 años), Oscar Chávez, Pancho Madrigal, y Gabino Palomares... .. .. ....De igual manera fue por medio de programas culturales promovidos por el Estado que el grupo ZAZHIL pudo realizar giras y tener gran contacto con maestros del son huasteco, veracruzano, jaliciense, guerrerense, etc., así como con músicos indígenas de nuestro país.... .. .. ....Actualmente ZAZHIL plantea su idea del SON MEXICANO FUSION como músicos que viven y trabajan en esta gran ciudad y a su vez han tenido la fortuna de conocer el son mexicano de raíz planteando sonidos frescos que acerquen a la gente joven al son y a todos aquellos que viven esta misma dualidad. A través de su historia ZAZHIL se ha presentado en plazas públicas, teatros, escuelas, hospitales, etc., así como en foros internacionales en Costa Rica, USA, Martinica, Alemania, Bélgica, Holanda, Nicaragua, etc. con excelente aceptación... .. .. .. .. ..ZAZHIL | English.. .. .. .. .. ....Is a group of musicians born and raised in the capital of Mexico- Mexico City. Since 1981 they have focused on the musical tradition of "son" and all of its diverse expressions, mixing the TRADITIONAL MEXICAN SON with CONTEMPORARY RHYTHMS. Thus ZAZHIL is known as the PIONEER OF MEXICAN SON WITH FUSION. Concurrently its members have participated individually in projects focused on classical and contemporary music, South-American and Afro-Antillean music, "canto nuevo," flamenco, rock and jazz music... .. .. ....Parallel to their knowledge of diverse musical genres, the members of ZAZHIL have maintained a long of 27 years an inexhaustible study of the great diversity and richness of traditional Mexican music, the "Alma Mater" of all of their projects, which also has linked them intimately with internationally known artists such as Amparo Ochoa (for 9 years), Oscar Chavez, Pancho Madrigal and Gabino Palomares... .. .. ....Through cultural programs promoted by the Mexican government, ZAZHIL has toured throughout the country, bringing them in contact with the experts of "son" found in the regions of the Huasteca, Veracruz, Jalisco, and Guerrero, among others, in additional to the indigenous musicians of our country... .. .. ....As musicians who live and work in the great metropolis of Mexico City, and who, at the same time, have had the opportunity to directly experience the roots of Mexican "son, ZAZHIL continues to focus on the FUSION of CONTEMPORARY SOUNDS with the TRADITIONAL SON.
