Just myself, Gary Shaine Horrie. Occasionally, I'll have guest musicians play on some tunes.
Influences
Just about everything. I write whatever comes out. Some influences may range from Led Zepplin to Incubus, Tool, Deftones, Korn, to Skid Row, Motley Crue & Tesla. Others maybe.. Dream Theater, Rush, Alice In Chains, Hot Action Cop, Van Halen, Beatles, Queen, Soundgarden, Aerosmith, STP, Prince, Chili Peppers, Chicago, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Steve Miller Band, Bon Jovi, The Cars, Metallica, My Chemical Romance, Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Foo Fighters, 311, Janes Addiction, Billy Squire, Extreme, Stray Cats, Pink Floyd, Billy Joel, Queensryche, FAMILY FORCE 5, POD, Boston, Butch Walker, Avenge Sevenfold, Dark New Day, Weird Al, Adam Sandler, System of a Down, Audio Slave, Fall Out Boy, Fuel, Maroon 5, . When I'm in "writing mode", I *try* to listen not to listen to anything besides my own musical ideas.
Sounds Like
Good question. Please let me know!!! Sometimes I may say... "Sounds Like: Crap?", but hey, everyone is their own worst critic. I love feedback. Since there is only one person working on everything, I'm sure some elements get overlooked. I don't claim to be perfect. ;)

Here's a small taste of my old band StepDown performing Tool's Aenima @ Kep's Place in Washington on August 4, 2007... This is prolly the worst we've (I've) EVER played, but the only video of this that I have. Enjoy!
Well... here ya have it. It's a little drum solo I did back in August 2004 with one of my old bands Braille. This was filmed in Pontiac, IL.
Here's another short clip of the same show in Pontiac, IL. A little sample of Pantera - Walk. Yes, I'm singing it as well. Too bad the sound pretty much sucks! Or wait, maybe it's just me. Oh well, enjoy!
Welcome to my page. My name is Ron Burgandy, and I'm kind of a big deal... ok, maybe not. But who really reads this shit anyway? The name... Gary Shaine Horrie & this is my story. Just about everything you hear on this page is me & only me. I know what you're thinking, this guy must not have any friends. Well, maybe not, but I like to think I do. This been an on-going solo project for me for the last 10 or so years.
I am also the former drummer for HOT ACTION COP based out of Nashville, TN! I've played for many different bands around the Central Illinois area for years including StepDown, The Shake, Braille, Dirty Little Mimes, & Krankinstein (way back in the day!) Anyway, hope ya like what you hear! If so, drop me a comment & let me know! If you're bored, check out my complete BIO in the blogs above!
Another cool thing that I've done is played drums on the Liberty & Justice song "Another Nail" which featured Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) on Vocals, Tim Gains (Stryper) on Bass & Kerri Kelli (Vince Neil, Alice Cooper, Slash's Snake Pit)
I also do freelance graphics/websites if anyone is interested in any work, check out www.FlashpotDesigns.com
This is pretty much my studio kit below. It's a Candy Apple Red flamed Spaun Drum kit. I do have an additional floor tom though. I'm very much looking forward to bring it back out for live shows!

Hey just drifting by, wasn't sure if you were going to go see DJ. Jackie's going, Miller too...I was going to go w/ Jackie but now I'm going to go see my dad. Everytime I talk to him he wants to know how you and your mom are so I thought that I would get a head start...lol! Anyway, hope all is well there and that you're healthy! T By the way, who's mike (on your list)? We seen him wading in water and wondered if he lives close to Cedar Rapids? Just thought that he might be a neighbor floating by!
By riot, I know you meant charming, funny, and really really good looking! Ha ha! You guys aren't that far away from Mad-town are you? We'll have to party it up again...maybe this time without the elevator...my apologies for that one! ;)
So this is a coinsidence... my sister was listening to her ipod and she always asks me to listen to different songs and asks if i've ever heard of the band/artist. So, I grab the earphone and low and behold, I heard "Fever 4 Da Flava"!!! I immediately got this huge smile on my face and she asked, "Oh, you've heard of Hot Action Cop?" And I was like..."since this weekend, YES!" Boy did I feel like a groupie! Ha ha ha! Thought you'd get a kick out of that!
Thanks Gary! We totally wished you could have been there too! Everything went well, and I still got to hear Hot for Teacher. They couldn't play Halo, cause apparently they needed you to sing it! LoL! I hope you had fun in Nashville. Hope to see you and Tina around soon!!
Cp wanted to send you a shout of thanks for gracing us with your talents and mere rockstar presence last night at Exit 197. You are nothing short of amazing-- and a heck of a good guy!
Such a treat to see you again.
