.......A single snare CRRRRRACKS through the darkness ......................a cymbal CRASSSSHES ...............a bass riff BOOOOOMS in the shadows .....a guitar SCREEEECHES like a super-sonic fighter jet ................the stage lights EXPLODE! ........................................(ZEBEDY RAYS HAVE ARRIVED)
After two years of performing all over the UK, they have established themselves as probably the most exciting 3-
piece in the country.
They've broken loose of their native Worcestershire, after extensively touring clubnights and festivals up and down
the UK and releasing a debut E.P and mini album on Little Hellfire Club Records, they have started to gain national
exposure on Radio One (Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens), and Kerrang Radio.
Strap in the seatbelts...2010 will see them grow to new heights
PRESS
".........................Brilliant!" HUW STEPHENS, BBC RADIO 1
"........A great band! Expect to hear more from these in the future" EMMA SCOTT, KERRANG! RADIO
"................The best live act in the two counties." ANDY O’HARE, BBC HEREFORD & WORCESTER
".......The sound of a schizophrenic mountain goat with tourettes trapped in an elevator shaft" FEED YOUR HEAD, LONDON
"Edgy and melodic guitar-led corkers! I detect early afro period Jon Spencer, and generally lots of twists and turns. They have a
serious knack of pulling a great hook outta the bag everytime." BUGBEAR PROMOTIONS, LONDON
"These boys are a tight, energetic three piece........Great stuff!" NIGEL CLARKE, DODGY
"Breathtaking and octane fuelled raw rock 'n'roll from this incredible young trio. Rammed with
raw energy, overflowin' with originality and burstin' with potential....
They take contemporary rock'n'roll by the scruff of the neck, turn it upside down, kick it way into touch and run
rampant with whatever's left!!" TOXIC PETE
"Although it may be unintentional, Zebedy Rays have managed to sound like The Minute Men jamming with Kings of
Leon.
......................Definitely worth a watch!" SPOONFED, LONDON
"It is obvious that these guys put on a great live show by the sheer energy. The
drums keep everything perfectly in time, the bass lines are as groovy as they come and when the three
combine they sound like a band that have been together for much longer than they have." PENNYBLACKMUSIC
“Energetic urgent scratch blues-edged lo-fi wrong pop clatterness that tastes rather like The Fall barking and
yelping at the Strokes and demanding 'throat-lozenge-shaped' attention.” ORGAN MAGAZINE
“Kings of Leon in a drinking contest with Pharoah Sanders and the Fall!” SOUNDSXP
"...............Zebedy Rays are one seriously hot prospect!" RHYTHM & BOOZE MAGAZINE
"With a sound not unlike The Strokes hanging out with The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion at a Fall gig." PLAYMUSIC MAGAZINE
