Small Pin is undoubtedly one of the Caribbean’s most creative, artists of these times in the Caribbean.
With no music experience, but a thirst for success and love for culture, Small Pin entered the soca stage in 2004 with the experimental single “Ugly gal” which gave him a mild name on radio waves but a name for originality in lyrical content.
In 2005, Small Pin followed up with a well put together soca commentary “Don’t give up” which became an anthem on radio waves around the island.
By 2006, Small pin captured crowds from all angles with 3 hits, “Caribbean Fete”, a collaboration with Nnika. “Dem does only talk about horna man” and “Born gettonas” which earned him a spot in the groovy and power soca monarch semis of that year in Grenada.
2007, which many would say was the “breakout year” for Small Pin, he released the chart topping song “Zeebo band” which brought birth to a craze around the island with the slang “Zeebo Creebo” which he says means a “female masquerader” or “gettoner” .The song was 1 on the best radio stations for over a month and remained on the top 3 for the entire carnival season.
