.. .. ........"> .. One that is called "Gifted" is a person that possesses great natural ability. Gifted was born on the Westbank of New Orleans in the Kennedy Heights neighborhood. Gifted started approaching the stage at the young age of 8yrs. old. Since then Gifted has been an award winning Artist and has been featured in many talent shows and major events, such as New Orleans' number one radio station Q93 fm's annual concert "Teen Summit" which features a host of local and international Artist. Gifted has traveled throughout the country and internationally to places such as Rotherham and London England on missions trips, and was a feature Artist at the 2008 NBA All Star festivities sponsored by Nike and Foot Locker along with Spike Lee, Kobe Bryant, Dougie Fresh and a host of celebrities. Gifted was a featured Artist at the 2009 South by South West conference held in Austin,Tx., a feature Artist at the 2009 National Baptist Conference in Houston,Tx and is also a main stay at Victory Fellowships annual "Feed The multitudes" held in New Orleans, La. at the age of 15 Gifted secured a deal with the hottest label in New Orleans at that time "Take Fo' Records" as a writer and a choreographer. From Take Fo' Gifted moved on to "Smoke 1 Records" the 1st label to do a joint venture with "No-Limit Records" headed by Master P. To the naked eye it may seem Gifted was headed for success; however he was on a path for destruction. Since birth, death has been on the heels of Gifted. He was born with an eye tumor, almost strangled to death twice, was involved in a shoot out, and survived a surgery to remove an abscess from his throat that was beginning to cut off his circulation. Around the age of 13, Gifted developed a heavy addiction to marijuana and alcohol. Which resulted in not one, but two different automobile accidents where the cars were totaled but Gifted walked away both times.Still Gifted did not heed to the warnings and the grace God was giving him and stayed in the streets, carrying guns, heavily smoking and selling marijuana. One night Gifted was involved in an altercation where weapons were pulled & bullets began to erupt. Gifted jumped in front of a bullet that was headed for his older brother & was struck in the face. With a blood soak shirt and a hole in his face, again Gifted walked away.This being his 8th brush with death, Gifted felt some things had to change. Gifted's brother and now his Pastor Manuel Mukes invited him to church. From those steps God began to slowly transform Gifted into a new person. Gifted is now on a mission to breath life into Hip Hop. "Hip hop is now running a constant negative commercial in the ears and the eyes of the world, specifically the youth" –Gifted. With God's word in his heart and Gifted's way with words something special is about to take place. It's such a beautiful situation. .... .. .. .. .. .. ....................
