Zeek Butla was born Isaiah Butler and raised in Philadelphia PA, by his mother and grandmother. He spent most of his childhood in the West Oak Lane section of the city, however he moved around spending time in Roxborough, West Philly, Logan, Germantown and north Philly. Threw his travels around the city he was exposed to many different things which are displayed in his music. He is able to draw on these experiences to paint vivid pictures for listeners of the street life of Philadelphia. Zeek however is not just another ordinary thug from the block; he is also a devoted father of four children. This is a side which is also displayed in his music. With songs such as "Just in Case" and "Understand Me" Zeek shows listeners a more mature introspective side of himself. He is able to use his life experience to not only give you a piece of himself but also deliver heartfelt messages.
Zeek began his career as a solo artist but soon found himself spending more and more of his time honing his craft with classmates. After a few studio sessions with his new crew, the chemistry between them was undeniable so they formed a group called Illa Team. Zeek and his Illa Team began to work diligently in the studio creating several Mix-tapes which garnered them a local buzz. With his new found popularity Zeek decided to take a step out on his own and begin his solo career. Zeek began recording a series of Mix tapes (which will soon be available here) which has furthered his street buzz. Looking to capitalize on this he went into the studio and created If Not Me Then Who? his first solo album.
Zeek is also the Co-Ceo of Against All Odds Entertainment. Threw this company he will distibute his mix cd's, Albums, and mix DVD's.
