This is an Out-of-Office reply for ScriptGirl. I'm off on a
sun-drenched, rum-soaked summer vacation. Please enjoy this highlight/gag reel in my absence!

Are there any plans for Indy 4 this weekend? I thought it might be fun for a group of us to go to dinner and then the film or vice versa.

    Here’s to Mr. Heston.
I’m sitting here on the concrete steps leading up to my apartment in Valley Village, CA, hoping my fragile connection with the internet won’t be severed prematurely. It took me over ten minutes to find a half way decent signal so I could do my all-important daily checking of emails and genre gossip. The first news title on aintitcool strikes me like a slap in the face from my unreasonable mother. I moved out here over 5 months ago to work with artists that creatively inspire me. The first week I was hear I wrote out a list of them and Mr. Heston is the first one I get to cross off. Unfortunately, he’s to be added to a different one... my myspace list of people I want to meet (and never will). He led a controversial life, but his personal tastes and views didn’t keep me from enjoying his work in everything from Touch of Evil to Planet of the Apes. So with an unexpected tear in my eye, I lift my cheap nip of Early Times Kentucky Whiskey, and emotionally consider the work of a fellow Imaginaut. Even in sadness, I can’t help but smile recalling all the lines I’ll never forget hearing that he gifted us with.
    Charlton Heston, RIP.
As another Imaginaut from that list would write... So it goes.
John, any thoughts on Mr. Heston?

Is it just me, or is Lon Chaney Jr's Larry Talbot the Wolf Man just about the greatest hero in horror movie history? Trying to think of someone that tops him, but I can't. Thoughts?

On a day like today, I must turn to you, for your opinion matters more to me than any other on this particular subject. While I understand the title relates to one of Ian's old short stories, don't you think that the producers should have used a "modicum of reason" in picking a title with a bit more elemental "Bondness"?

John Cox you're my hero.... But in the mean time, Mr. H says get back to work... He doesn't have anyone to abuse without you writers coming in to pitch...and no one to lie to about back end participation.

Just spreading some positive energy to my WGA unions brothers & sisters. Am home sick, so instead of marching in solidarity, I've been spreading the word via the web.

Stay strong, and don't give up til you all get what you rightfully deserve! :)

    Best,

Screenwriters are the reason for my visual entertainment. Give them their fair share. So says I. And Tom Mankiewicz...and no one can argue with him.

Here's believing you get what you've earned, John!

    Good luck!
