   About Zen Debris
.. DigStation - Indie Music Downloads
We rose from the bones and the blood. Bare feet move across a wild landscape. The sun sits mighty in the sky; painful flash of irradiated white against cerulean, cobalt, azure. The island buzzes with sounds, cicadas and crickets in a whispering cacophony of earth’s music. We were born of bones and mud. A chaotic city landscape rises just over the horizon line. Three bodies transverse the jungle, machetes in hand. Something stirs at the center of the flesh like a calling – we knew that the state of our surroundings was in need of repair, of healing. We made teas from tree bark and circumnavigated the fire. We brought the sickness of the city into ourselves and turned it inside out. From human misery, we created songs. We suffered and allowed the stingers to penetrate our skin. The venom sank deep and the sickness stirred to life. We sank to our knees and vomited. The purging was endless and unavoidable but the fire burned bright like magnesium. We swore to forge a path through the endless flora; wild onions and wheat grass met the blade of the machete and bowed. We found oneness and wholeness and insanity. When the shaking subsided, there was evening. We counted the stars in the palpable, tropical night. Sparks rained down. The sky opened out, black and endless, pouring thick, onyx liquid into our skin. Browned by the sun, we awoke from the night, a thousand dreams bursting from our lips. We lay on the ground and the ocean washed the dreams away.

You are totally allowed to be lazy for the following reasons:
1. It's winter break.
2. You just had major surgery.
3. What are you, a machine?

I heart you and will talk to you soon. For now, you just focus on clotting.

My shows were ok- one was lovely, the other could have been better, but was fun... New York is funfunfun... i go to nyack alot too, which is just beautiful and relaxing... the pool, etc... I've met some great people out here to jam with. I'm still sorry I never got to jam or play a show with you guys... that was just bad timing. I've had terrible health problems this year. I'm not even working (just freelance) cuz I cant hold a schedule!! But if this gets solved... I hope at some point our paths will cross and we can play together.

Glad to hear alls well.... are you playing lots of shows down there?

Hey folks.

Two and a half years. The first edition book is done. 279 pages (first two don't count), lots of black and white illustration. Oh yeah, also, lots of words. About 100,000 of them.

It looks like it's going to take a couple weeks for Booksurge to place Fallen Nation through online retailers (Amazon, Waldenbooks, B&N, etc) so I'm making the exact same book available through lulu temporarily. I've ordered copies through them for the first round promotion and reviews, they look great.

Alright, it's not the exact same book: the spine is simpler on the lulu version than the version that will be available through the larger online outlets later. (In store distribution has to wait for the 2nd edition.)

So if that doesn't bother you, and you've been wanting to pick up a copy right now, enjoy. The basic "what's this book?" song and dance is there as well.

If you haven't seen them- interview on Reality Sandwich, where we talk about the background and myth behind this story (and the ones that have come before, and will come after), Bedtime Stories With The Antichrist #3 & The G-Spot Episode 4, which both include audiobook content from Fallen Nation: Babylon Burning, and the ongoing black and white comic, Fallen Nation: Welcome To The Apocalypse.

p.s. I owe you guys some CDs. let me know how to get th

Jun 27 2007 4:37 PM

Hello, hello

What's been up with ya's?

Yeah, long time, no chat.

The Monkey has been off the road, but coming back soon. During the layoff I wrote a book about our adventures in 2006. It's called Lunacy @ Le Cirque and Zen Debris is in the first chapter.

If you haven't seen it yet, chapters 1 & 2 are on our blog. Chapters 3 & 4 will be up this Friday and new chapters will go up on a biweekly basis.

Hopefully one day we'll have ya's under our big top again.

I wanted to put something in Yoruba here, but it seems as if I can't find a Web site to translate anything.

So, I leave with a simple, be well.
