The 'AFTER SHOCK' album is about a slow methodical invasion from the aliens onto the human race. The difference with this alien invasion is that these aliens are the keepers of the universe and all the planets. These aliens go around managing/policing all the planets, and the reason for the invasion on earth is that the human race have not listened to the 5 galactic laws. The invasion will last 99 years and will only eliminate humans, leaving all other life and earth intact to re-establish itself. "THE COUNTDOWN HAS COMMENCED".

'AFTER SHOCK' the album is based around two songs - 'ALIEN ATTACK', the start of the invasion, and 'ALIEN ATTACK - The Final Conflict', the end of the invasion. In between these two tracks is a cocktail of the upheaval of what could happen on a real extraterrestrial takeover. The album starts with the track 'ALIEN ATTACK'.

'ALIEN ATTACK' begins by giving the impression of the alien ship approaching earth. The scratching sound of the guitar gives the idea of alien communication within the space ships while approaching their mission.

The track sets off with a crash of cymbals and a blast of guitar, giving the impression of a sudden attack. The crash of the cymbals/hard riff of the song symbolizes the aliens, with the frantic panic of the lead guitar being us, the humans.

The song progresses into a battle between aliens and humans but unknown to us, the aliens are assessing our firepower.

The track progresses into a frantic battle moving into an aggressive lead solo; giving the feeling that the humans are winning through.

The battle steps up another gear where there's double hammer-ons and comes to a climax with a fire of cymbals, giving the feeling of the aliens pounding earth with their advanced technology. The humans come back with a global force, where the lead guitar is going frantic, giving the sense of a human race in panic. The human race then watches the alien ships retreat, which gives them the idea that humans have won the attack.

The track then moves into a final stage where the aliens regroup and the mother ship orders all other aliens "SYSTEM CONFORM, MODIFY" to regroup for the final conflict. At the end of the track you can then hear the mother ship flying off into space to regroup.

The album comes out of the first section and into the second track 'ACCESS DENIED'. The idea behind this title is that after the aliens have invaded, our system goes into shutdown, where the world goverments isolate all civilians and puts on a cover-up so that no-one knows what is truly happening from the invasion, leading to 'ACCESS DENIED' in all areas.

The album shifts into track three, called 'SUICIDE GIRL'. The idea behind 'SUICIDE GIRL' is that the world has been turned upside down by the invasion and the silence of the governments. The world mayham is causing terror within the human race and leading to suicides because of the unknown fear and future of the planet. The scratching on the guitar gives the idea of humans trying to get out of this world, the high bends shows pain and sadness, while the guitar near the end makes you think of deep screaming sounds, the pause in this track gives the feeling of suicide thoughts ?

The mood then swings into the title track 'AFTER SHOCK'. This track is a powerful, hard-driving riff with total mayhem on the lead guitar solos throughout. The idea is to give the impression of panic and terror after the invasion; basically the human race is in 'AFTER SHOCK' from the destruction.

The next track, 'STOLEN MOMENTS', moves into a more slower but hard pace, giving the notion of the world being taken over, while the aliens have stolen our moments of everyday life. This pace moves into track six, 'CRYIN THE PAIN'.

The feel behind 'CRYIN THE PAIN' is to show sorrow and grief from losing what we took for granted. This track digs deep into the soul and makes us realize how important life really is.

We then move into ' RAGIN SINNER'. This gives an aggressive, hard-driving, angry riff, telling us that the human race still have hope and are prepared to come back for one last fight. The track battles through on hard-driving rhythm and lead guitar, building up into a fast solo, where the human race stand tall and fight for their lives. 'RAGIN SINNER' takes you into the next chapter, 'GUILTY BEFORE INNOCENT'.

This hard-driving groove carries on the pace from RAGIN SINNER, where we as humans are at war with the alien forces. We try to understand why we have been deemed GUILTY BEFORE INNOCENT, but still stand up for survival.

We then go into the track "BROKEN TEARS", this track is a slow groove, giving you the feeling of sadness, BROKEN TEARS is saying that, no matter how many tears we cry, they are all in vain ?.

The album then moves into 'UNTIL THE END'. This track starts off with a slow, sad keyboard feel, then hits in with a powerful riff with heavy floor toms, giving the feeling that the end is near for the human race as it stands today. The lead guitar delivers a sad tone of dying hope, but rocking feel. We then move into 'ALIEN ATTACK-THE FINAL CONFLICT'. This track delivers 100% of the alien war machine.

'ALIEN ATTACK - THE FINAL CONFLICT' comes back with a vengeance, where the space ships begin the final stages of their mission. The scratching of the guitar is the aliens communicating with each other while descending on earth.

The beginning of this track shows the alien ships positioning themselves onto earth and regrouping their positions for the final conflict. This is explained by the deep thumping sounds at the beginning of the track, giving the impression of landing their ships on the earth's surface.

The track then moves into a slow grinding, deep, heavy groove, giving the sense that the aliens on the ground are starting to sweep through the earth's surface, and wiping out city by city, while in the background of the track you have a constant hovering spaceship sound of the mother ship watching and guiding, which gives the feeling of constantly monitoring the mission/the destruction of mankind.

The guitar goes into a change of mood, letting us know that the human race have finally realised that they can not beat the alien war machine, and although they have not given up, they realise their destiny is destruction.

The guitar then moves into a high-screeching lead solo, giving the notion of human pain and that we are being overpowered by the force. The track then does a pause for a few seconds, giving the sense of a ceasefire, but really it's the alien mother ship ordering all spaceships off the earth surface for the final attack.

The track then moves into a fast lead solo, telling us that the human race is lost. The cymbals progress into a pounding of the track, giving the impression that all alien ships are wiping out the entire human race and are on the final stage of their mission.

The track ends with a high pitched dive bomb on the guitar, telling us that the final blow has been dealt.

The track fades into the mother ship hovering above earth and double-checking to see that the mission has been completed.

The 'AFTER SHOCK' album cover shows Zeni Danussi with a protective shield around him, which is protecting him from the aftershock of the alien attack, while the guitar is firing out lightning beams of music to blast them away. The back cover of the album, shows just the guitar with a alien head ghostly coming from it, with light beams around him, Sadly, this is telling us that the alien invasion has wiped out the human race forever, and there is no happy ending.

This guitar was designed as a limited edition from HR GIGER himself ( THE CREATOR OF THE ALIENS ETC IN THE ALIEN MOVIES ).

The design went through Ibanez guitars and is a Prestige Masterpiece ( ONE - OFF DESIGN ).

Throw in Danussi's own fire, originality and intensity. What you get, is Zeni Danussi's amazing debut release, 'After Shock'. From the moment the mind numbing "Alien Attack" fires out of your speakers Danussi has your senses locked in with your undivided attention. There is no let down in the audio thrill ride that awaits you with numbers like, "Access Denied", "After Shock" and "Ragin Sinner" that are sure to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. If you are looking for an instrumental type album that is not just forty minutes of a guy playing notes as fast as he can, then the Zeni Danussi is where it is. There is enough diversity in sound and rhythm on this CD to have something for everyone to like. I am extremely impressed with Zeni Danussi's work and look forward to listening to more of his music in the future.
