Zen Media is a fusion band hailing from Kelowna, B.C. Canada. This 6 piece experimental groove band hits pockets in as many dance mediums as it can get its hands on. Injecting raw hip twisting vibrations into everything from fat funk and disco grooves to deep dub and high energy hip hop. Extended jam sections are interwoven into tight compositions allowing for long periods of "stretching out" on what may be a 3 minute studio song. This combination of spontanaeity and composition allows Zen shows to flow and change transforming its music from static songs to musical vessels. Always looking for that next plateau Zen Media aspires to keep raising its audiences vibrations and its shows with fans that are environmentally and spiritually concious people doing there own part of "the great work". CIRO is hosting '7 Blocks of Busking' July 5 in Kelowna. It will be an out door festival right downtown. Basically a big open mike night / fringe fest and good time. If you know anyone that might want to come out visit our Myspace or Facebook group for details. Kelly and Connor from the Cakewalk group are in the know too.
