BIOGRAPHY
Zenn - an ancient doctrine that enlightenment can be attained through direct intuitive insight.
Art - the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
Music - an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.
Society - an organized group of persons associated together for religious, benevolent, cultural, scientific, political, patriotic, or other purposes.
Nation - a large body of people, associated with a particular territory, that is sufficiently conscious of its unity to seek or to possess a government peculiarly its own, usually within the same belief and pursuit of freedom.
For as long as I can remember music and writing have been major parts of my life since my youth. As a student going through high school, I use to indulge most of my time into XXL, Vibe, The Source and Rolling Stone magazines, always keeping mainstream current through my days. I enjoy listening to almost every genre of music and always give credit, where credit is due. When I write, depending on my mood, they usually consist of short stories, poems, and songs. I’ve also done entertainment writing: reviewing albums and mixtapes, providing current articles of everything going on at press time and artist interviews. In my education, I majored in both English and Journalism excelling me further into my career. In my life, I’ve always believed that music is an art that soothes the soul and captivates the mind. Sometimes there’s a lot more to a song then just the lyrics and the beat, take the time to listen and absorb.
Working for 24hourhiphop.com has given me the opportunity to branch out further in raising my confidence in everything that I write. I’ve had the chance to meet industry execs and artists while making network connections. I was also given the chance to open readers’ eyes and ears to the underground local scene that is rarely looked upon. Up and Coming artists and producers have a chance to let their music and ideas be heard, America is always looking for Hip-Hop’s next up.
