  • Bio

......"Love divided by a measured heart will never reach its mark." .......... The Zeno's Eros project was founded in 2001 by award winning spoken word artist Gabrielle Zane and nationally known progressive guitarist Ludent Tremmel (Anglions, Strange Attractor, GNO) with the mission of merging spoken word poetry, and progressive music. Based in the hills of Windham Connecticut, Zeno's Eros began as an open community of musicians and artists working and creating outside the boundaries of genre. Taking its influence from the Beat and Surrealist movements, Zeno's Eros merges spoken word, performance art, and original progressive music. Their unique sound creates an energetic, eclectic environment, which includes elements of poetry, song, jazz, progressive rock, and folk music. From understated spoken word pieces, to captivating love ballads, to biting political songs, Zeno's Eros covers a range both engaging and challenging. Music Scholar and critic Vernon Fraser has said of the band, ."[Zeno's Eros'] fusion of music with poetry advances the tradition that began with [the] bohemian poets and continued through the Beats to the present day." .Zeno's Eros has played in environments ranging from cafes and coffee houses to art openings, poetry readings, street fests and rock venues. Their live performances are often described as powerful and provocative.
