Deathcon was created in 2000 by Dreggen, V’gandr and Mord. The 3 of them wanted to create the most brutal form of Death metal the way it’s supposed to be. They’ve so far released one Mini-LP through Perverted Taste called "Zerohuman". After a few guitarists left the band they’ve recently got Ole Walaunet from mighty Grimfist on second guitar. Deathcon have played some live shows (Hole in the sky, warm up for Deicide among more), and have gained alot of experience throughout these few years. The band consists of skilled musicians from bands like Aeternus, Helheim and ex-Taake, but Deathcon is not a project, but a mighty brutal force to be reckoned with. The 30th of October 2006 they will release their debut album entitled "Monotremata" on Dark essence records from Norway.
Mord recently parted ways with Deathcon but was shortly after replaced by the polish devastator Icanraz from Devilish Impressions, Hermh and Abused Majesty.
So, the demise of Deathcon continues. Ole Walaunet just left the band as he felt he was too occupied with other projects. Furthermore we felt that we had to part ways with Icanraz as Erik (Vrolok) showed interest in joining the ranks of Deathcon. It’s easier and more convenient to have a drummer from the same city, so therefore we parted ways with Icanraz and wishes him the best with all his future efforts.
The replacement for Ole Walaunet is Madsen (Sulphur, Vulture Industries and ex-Enslaved) on guitar. This line-up did not last and by the entrance to 2008 Deathcon emerged with two new members: Aindiachai on guitars and S. Winter (Eld and ex-Gehenna, ex-Aeternus) on drums.
