David "Zeta" Hall is a guitarist, songwriter and producer who resides and performs in South East Florida. The songs performed are written with not with the intention of being what's "in" now, but he hopes can be enjoyed at any space of time. The material is mostly self performed with the exception of a few drummers and bassists who he has had the privilege and honor to have performed his music on these recordings. All the vocals, guitars, string arrangements, some bass, and producing are done by Zeta. Staying true to his hearts passion for the guitar, but also striving to achieve lyrical content that will hopefully move and inspire the listener so they may take ownership of the composition in the context of there own life and experiences. They are no longer his songs, but, the listener's. Although a proficient guitarist, he feels it's all about "the song", but always tries to leave some space for the guitar to express itself with out taking away from the all important "song". The songs posted here on Myspace will mutate over time to give the listeners here a taste of the different styles, from in your face guitar, to acoustic oriented, almost folk like ballets, and a couple cool instumentals along the way. The new album "Love is a Sword" is scheduled to be completed around the end of the summer 2007. This album is a dynamic journey of musical and lyrical themes, from the seemingly endless symantics of love and relationships, the joy, the risks, the potentials, and the pains, to songs of hope, lies, the inevitable passage of time, leaving things behind, and looking foward to the challenges of the future. Engineered and Co. produced by the genius mind of Tom Graefe. In his 25 years as one of Sony's top engineers, Tom has been a part of some of the biggest albums, and artists of the past 30 years. From Aerosmith, to Elliott Randall of Steely Dan, Tom Shultz from the legendary rock band Boston, the list seems to never end. He is a huge part of the flavor, texture, and flow of this album and these recordings. Check back for all the new developments as they happen. So hop on board, take a ride with Zeta.. And by all means, bring a friend, and spread the word.
