Sounds Like
My favorite music criticisms are of US Maple that they sound like a flight of stairs falling down a flight of stairs, and of Gunter Muller & Taku Sugimoto's album I'm Happy if You're Happy that it sounds like it was recorded in a hot-air balloon drifting away from a fireworks display.
Zach Parker, born in Port Washington, WI, 1977, currently in Chicago. The first music for me was my sisters' and folks' records - Graceland, Beatles, Beach Boys, Knee Deep In the Hooplah - and Madonna and The Cars on the radio. Then came my brother's records, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. My first record was Thriller, my first tape was Mr. Mister. Started playing guitar in 1987. Studied composition at UW Madison, also studied creative collaboration there with Pauline Oliveros. Studied abroad in Sydney, Australia; Hanoi, Vietnam; and Caen, France. Several albums written, performed, recorded, self-released; several short films scored. Piece "bedroom variation" included on Outsiders Looking Inward 2004, a compilation of experimental guitar music put out by White Rose (Will Soderberg).
Several musical collaborators met through Nottingham Co-operative in Madison, WI.
Hosted open-mics at Cafe Assisi and Nottingham, currently semi-regular performances at Nottingham and other local venues.
Guitar, voice, drums, keyboards, loops, electronics, bass.
When are you going to come down here and make a record? What's this I hear about you playing in a band now, where you play songs and such? I'm sure you're scheming to get the drummer to only play kick-snare-kick-snare like the good old days. Where can I hear some of this music?

I didn't realize until just now that you put some up some of your new music. It works strangely well accompanied by dryer noises. I hope you are doing excellently.
James Blackshaw & Jozef Van Wissem form a Holy Alliance on this palindromatic masterpiece, based on the heretic writings of 13th Century mystic Marguerite Porete.
Occasionally I miss France. Perhaps its just the longing for kir and quiet conversation. I had forgotten how fast things move here and sometimes I still feel the need to slow it all down.
How's life handsome? Really happy that I can listen to your music now whenever I want on your myspace page. I have some friends who like it, too:) Hope everything is well and that you are too!
