Zhinu's Interests

| General | My interests are currently in a state of fluctuation, but there are some I assume will never truly change, these are reading, history, photography, playing games (card, board, computer, word, rpg, etc.), Knitting, and Embroidery (mainly Black work and cross stitch). I’ve been getting into Gardening. I’ve always had a hobby interest in Marine Biology. I really need to get some more active hobbies. If you want more specifics on any of these, or to find out if I’m currently interested in something else, email me. | | Music | I have eclectic tastes in music. I’m into a bit of everything. Right now I’m mainly listening to Celtic flavored music or jazz. Some of my favorite musician right now are (in no particular order): Old Blind Dogs, Flogging Molly, the Pouges, Norah Jones, Johnny Cash, Roseanne Cash, Clash, Pain, Sicko, Green Day, Louis Armstrong, Cake, Ean, Tales from the Birdbath, and Queen. I’m sure there are others that should be on the list, but what I listen to depends entirely on my mood. | | Television | I don’t actually have cable, I just decided I didn’t need the distraction or the commercials. So, I don’t watch television, as such, very often, but I do watch television shows on DVD. I like West wing, Dead Like Me, Law & Order (all versions), CSI (zll versions), NCIS, Sex in the City, Coupling, As Time Goes By, Brother Cadfael, Cowboy Bebop, Farscape, Futurama, Simpsons, Mail Call, MI-5, Prime Suspect, OZ, Red Dwarf, Six Feet Under, True Calling, assorted documentaries, as well as a few series I’m sure I missed. As far as shows that I’m quite fond of that I don’t get to see because they aren’t out on DVD, Crossing Jordan and Man Child are the two I can think of off the top of my head, and several of the shows listed above have seasons that aren’t on DVD yet. I’m somewhat interested in CSI: NY, even though the ones I’ve seen haven’t been very good, and I’m sure there are new shows that I’ve completely missed. | | Books | Some of my favorite authors, in no particular order, are: Charles De Lint, Tad Williams, Mercades Lackey, Tamora Pierce, Midori Snyder, Umberto Eco, Neal Stephenson, J.K. Rowling, Ellis Peters/Edith Pargeter, Lillian Jackson Braun, Ursula K. LeGuin, Orson Scott Card, Tony Hillerman as well as many others. | | Heroes | Gabi Clayton, because she took a horrible tragedy and used it to do something good for the world. |

About me:
Look at the rest of my page, if you haven't found the answer email me specific questions.
I realized since I'm looking for people I once knew, someone might be looking for me, and I have nothing on my page that would let them know that I was the right person. So, here are the places I've lived. I was born at Scott Lake (just south of Olympia); I lived in this area until I was 6. I moved to Allentown PA for about 9 mo. I lived with family for the summer. Then we moved to Taiwan where we lived for about 9 months, this would have been September 1985 to around June 1986. I lived in Corvallis OR for the summer. Then we moved to Fairfax CA. I went to Manor Elementary School; I was there until half way through 5th grade. We then moved to Chatsworth CA for a couple months. Then we moved to Paso Robles CA where I went to Flamson Middle School until close to the end of 8th grade. We then moved back to Olympia, and the rest is listed elsewhere.

Who I'd like to meet:
Looking for new friends, or old ones who I have lost touch with. I am interested in talking to people around my own age, who I can actually have an intellectual conversion with, or who like to play online games. Similar interests are a plus. Living in the same general area as me is a plus. Interesting people of all ages are welcome to contact me as well.
