My name is Ziggy, and I'm a professional hoop dance performer, instructor, and costume designer. I believe that the main goal of life is to be happy. I strive to bring joy, purity, and beauty into all that I do. Hoop dance has brought me happiness in so many, many ways. Just a few years ago, I was overweight, depressed, and very self conscious. When I discovered hoop dance, my life was enriched in ways I never thought possible: reducing stress, improving health, happiness, discovering my sensuality, playfulness, increasing flexibility, toning my body, boosting energy, centering my mind, body, and soul, connection to the divine, passion, confidence, zest for life, accentuation of music, moving meditation, and so much more. I am now performing regularly across the Midwest and teach multiple hoop dance fitness classes and workshops every week.     I love any music that makes me feel good, from slow and meditative to fun and spunky. I love to challenge myself to hoop dance to any genre of music, but my favorite to hoop to is really tribal, primal sounding music with lots of percussion and foreign sounding instruments.

    I proudly gave up television about 4 years ago. I value my time far too much to be sucked into the endless brainwashing of the media.
