Ziggy Love is an all-star band of obscure San Francisco Bay Area musicians who play the entirety of David Bowie's 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars live onstage, as faithful to the recording as possible. Our premiere was October 1 at the Uptown in Oakland, CA; see our YouTube page for video.
The "live" songs on this page are practice recordings of the bassist/singer playing along with a crappy rehearsal CD that he made.
typically cover bands suck but the # of technical musicians on stage was very well orchestrated! tremendously impressive live performance! can't wait for the vid!
I was SOOOOOO pissed off to not get to see you play on Thursday, I drove around FOREVER ...long story...anyway the clips sound great and I hope you play more gigs soon. All the best
The show was truly amazing. I enjoyed the music and your faithfullness to the album, the overall sound of the group playing together, and each person individually. Great job on singing and playing those bass parts which I had no idea were so intensive.
