Zimoun created the band NÅ (norwegian for "now”) in 1999. Through low key playing and careful sound research NÅ gives access to the realm of tranquillity and the vastness of sound. The compositions consist of musical groove patterns interlocking through repetitive and consistent playing. Thanks to a long collaboration with Mik Keusen and Ben Loosli, this rhythm section was able to build up a deeper understanding of function, structure and form of Zimouns music, allowing them to freely access the structured and clearly defined compositions without being unfaithful to the basic aesthetics, the mindset and the idea of the composition.
