GERMAN VERSION
Das Zionic Soundsystem aus Passau, bestehend aus dem Sing Jay Jah-Q-Zaa und den Selectahs Compete & Catto, sorgt seit 2003 für feinste Reggae- und Dancehall-Musik.
In Ahnlehnung an jamaikanische Vorbilder werden die Platten nicht “nur” aufgelegt, sondern durch den SingJay Jah-Q-Zaa dem Publikum stimmungsbezogen serviert.
Zionic Sound präsentiert eine gelungene Mischung aus den aktuellen Reggae- und Dancehall-Scheiben, bewährten Reggae-Classics und respektzollender Weise Foundation und Rocksteady.
Beliebt sind bei den Selectahs ebenfalls Reggae-Remixe von HipHop-Club-Hits und auch ein paar Drum'N'Bass Reggae-Remixe.
Zionic Sound selbst hat stets eine Vielzahl von exklusiven Blends und Dubplates im Gepäck.
Abgerundet wird das Set durch einige Eigenkompositionen Jah-Q-Zaa's.
Diese Kombination macht Zionic Sound zu einem unverwechselbaren Live-Erlebnis.
ENGLISH VERSION
Zionic Soundsystem consists of selectahs Compete and Catto and singjay Jah-Q-Zaa who are an integral part of Passau's reggae scene.
It was time to let reggae revive in Passau in March 2003. It happens that Zionic Sound Solution, a Passau reggae band, played their first gig
in a big private party in Passau. Also present there on the same evening was Compete as selectah.
The evening turned out more than well and this led to the birth of "Zionic Soundsystem" initially with Compete and Jah-Q-Zaa.
Original and deep Lyrics with a sweet voice on the hottest riddims, thats Jah Q-Zaa.
Compete, a former founder of the Scrape Tacticians, with his vast experience in Djing, brings out the freshest mixes.
The combination of tight mixes, a deep selection and a singjay as talented as Jah Q Zaa with an incomparable voice and awesome hooklines fast bore fruits.
After numerous appearances in Passau (Compete's residence: Colors from september 2003 till October 2005!), Munich, Kassel, Deggendorf, Sigharting, Eggenfelden, Pfarrkirchen etc. They distinguish themselves strongly since their foundation in 2003.
At the end of 2004 Zionic Sound got a new bredren. Catto brought himself also into the active event. Originally he was "responsible" for the vinyl choice and then he came over the way of the effect device to the turntabels: with success. Catto permanently refreshes Zionic Sound by his selection and therefore he provides the necessary change.
The very varied musically pallet of Ska, Rocksteady, Roots, Rub-A Dub and Dancehall of the sixties goes up till now. Zionic whips your hips!
less ragga, less dancehall-music: just music for the dancehall.
Zionic Sound remains faithful to itself (contrary to the partly dramatic commercial development) and will play rare plates from Rocksteady times, Rub A Dub and current Conscious Roots also in future.
