About me: I´m 37 years old, i work in graphic design and i´m a freelance illustrator.
I live in the south of Portugal near the sea and I´ve been drawing landscapes since i was a kid for this was my way of entering another world, because i still think somebody out there in the universe made a mistake and i wasn´t suposed to be sent here at all.
I like to pull people inside of my fantasy landscapes as much as i can so anyone can travel with the eyes through my pictures as if standing on a real geographic point inside my worlds.

I live between the sea and the mountains. These are my inspiration along with the shape of clouds, books, the night sky, classic Irish and Brazillian music and all Tom Waits records i can get my hands on.
I´m a freelance illustration Artist, and i work mainly in fantasy themes, sci-fi or children book illustration. My favorite subject in those areas are imaginary landscapes and creating imaginary worlds.
And off course, ýou don´t even need to ask.I´m available for commissions
I do not work digitaly and all my illustrations are done the old fashioned way. All my art is created with acrylics, watercolors and color pencils.
I only use computers for graphic design.
Currently i´m working in some publicity watercolors and keep coloring the second volume of my comics wich will be available on print in a couple of months. I hope.
I love Forbidden Archeology and i´m a big Coast To Coast Am fan. This radio show, hosted by Art Bell, George Noory and Ian Punnet became a big inspiration on my work over the years.
Besides my illustration and graphic design work, i create fantasy comics and my book - "The Adventures of Prince Ziph" - just came out on print last December. The second volume will be available in April 2007 as i´m working on it right now adding watercolors to the next fifty pages of my Martian story.

Ever imagined how Mars was millions of years ago when it had oceans flowing on its surface ? And what about Martians ? Believe me they were not green. They were ...ehmm...diferent. And they had busy lives too. So busy that in fact life on Earth was latter most on their fault. And what about the meaning of life ? Does God have a beard ? Does it matter ? And what does all this have to do with Area 51 ? Who built the Face on Mars ? Is Heaven a private club ? Is life after death real ? How boring is it ? Who runs the universe anyway and does this entity have weekends ? This and plenty of other stupid questions will be answered in this 200 page saga wich will be divided in eight separate volumes so the author can get some extra bucks after two years making up all this stuff with watercolors, inks, acrylics and buckets of sweat.
The main influences in this work, were mainly the thousands of hours i´ve listened of
the COAST TO COAST Am radio show created by Art Bell, the book Monuments of Mars by Richard Hoagland, and the John Carter of Mars adventures mixed with the works of Tolkien, also a touch of Uderzo´s, Asterix european comics all mixed with The Neverending Story. So by this i guess you can have an idea of what to expect.

I´m also into landscape photography and all the photos you see in this space, have been taken during my long lonely walks around the area where i live. Those are some of the places where i get inspiration from.

MY FAVORITE BOOKS
I love books. I love flipping the pages, the dust all over them, the scent of old paper and all those feelings that can only be shared by someone who likes reading.
One day, when i get rich, the first thing i´ll do is build a mansion just to be able to have a big haunted library in it with walls covered by book shelves with plenty of dusty books in them.
So for now, i´m going to post here a few covers from some of my favorite books and soon i´ll add a mini review for each one when i have time to write about it. Check this area regulary for new reviews.
FACE ON MARS, MARTIAN ENYGMAS & FORBIDDEN ARCHEOLOGY
One of the most inspiring subjects to me , is the field of alternative science and forbidden archeology. I don´t believe science should be a field of monolithic thinking and i believe we still don´t know a thing about our ancient past. So i love to contemplate the possibilities present in the controversial field of alternative science, wich i don´t even think for a single second that is an inferior area of science and much less i think it´s fair to call it pseudo-science. The pseudo science of today, is the fact of tomorrow as much was proved through out our recent history. For example, even a couple dozen years, String Theory was as much mocked and ridicularized as today is the field of alternative archeology, so who knows... Keep an open mind and enjoy this excelent documentaries.
