Zi (Zie) lives and works mostly in the Caribbean. Already sharing stages with Shaggy, Fantasia, Jimmy Cliff, Dave Koz, Morgan Heritage and many others. He performed on the Reggae Blitz US tour with Ky-mani Marley, son of Bob Marley, alongside Maxi Priest, Toots and the Maytals and Andrew Tosh performing at venues such as "Reggae on the River", "Universal Studios", Hollywood, "Wolftrap", "House of Blues" Chicago and Orlando and many others. Zi played mainstage 2005, St.Lucia Jazz Festival and 2006 Vincey Blues Fest, VP Records sponsored Xmas Jump Off Concert Freedom Project with Bushman alongside Mya.
He’s also performed at over 400 weddings and numerous corporate events in St.Lucia, Jamaica and Trinidad.
Zi is currently working with his smooth island jazz group, "Solefood" promoting his debut album, Rise Up and writing some new songs. For the past 2 years he’s been the celebrity DJ, hosting his own show on 95.5 Rhythm FM.
His ability to cross over a multitude of genres of music such as reggae, zouk, smooth jazz, pop/ rock/funk not only on his sax but vocally too has been displayed on the Rise Up album, regarded by Zi as a “showcase” album to allow industry pros to get a better idea of what this artist has to offer and perhaps then channel his creative energies and image towards one particular style that could be sold to a mass market.
Zi has released some new singles that can be heard on his myspace page that have been getting great reviews. Checkout “All I Need” and “The Calling”
Zi also released music videos for Rise Up, Now’s the Time and Almaz featuring Lauren Foster which have boosted his popularity and visibility in the Caribbean region thru BETJ and CaribVision TV.
Zi has recently been in Jamaica where he has begun recording some new tracks at Beres Hammond’s studio, Harmony House with producer, Clive Hunt.
With all this experience under his belt and the right people to forward this artistic talent, the sky’s the limit.
