Zipperhead was formed in 1900's as a three piece heavy rock trio and remains to this day to be one of the most influential bands in and around the Chicago land area and soon.... Worldwide!!!! Zipperhead plays The Double Door in Chicago, IL exclusively. "It's the quality of the gig and not the quantity,” says Remington, Lead guitarist/vocalist and co-founding member of the trio. What really sets this band apart from others is the bass player of the band, Mark Khedroo. Recruited (more liked pulled off of a bar stool at the Gingerman) from the Heavy, Heavy Chicago Punk Rock band "Out Of Order" brings to the table a bass style that is like no other. "It's almost like having another guitar player in the band", Remington explains. "He covers so much of an area that most bass players can not, and totally fills the gap". Lets not forget one of the best drummers in Chicago Jim Kendall, drummer of the late 80's industrial dance band 321. "Jimmy is a fucking metronome and one of the best drummers I have ever played with" - Mark Khedroo. The band Zipperhead-www.zipperheadrocks.com released their 1st disc 6 in 1995 and was recorded at Idful Studios in Wickerpark, Chicago with Casey Rice ( Liz Phair /Brad Wood). The band left the recording unmixed due to the lack of cash. You can still listen to the recording / Disc in this state and many enjoy it this way. Zipperhead has a new Disc out called "Key Of Z " recorded at Ambush Studios, Northfield, IL. www.ambushrecordings.com and is currently being played on Local Q101 with Chris Payne as well as on WXRT's Local A with Richard Miln & The Loop WLUP in Chicago. Erin Carman over at The Loop 97.9 states ; "These guys are definitely putting the "Classic" back into todays rock sound. Dirty, crank it up, party rock.
