Ziv Jacob is an Israeli experimental musician based in Berlin. His work is a cinematic adventure between minimal ambient soundscapes and rough urban electronics. His fascination with sounds is being expressed through the use of analog instruments both in studio and on stage.
His debut album, “DOT” (2005), was published by the Israeli label Teder, followed by “Minimalismus” (2007), a series of compositions for piano and analog synthesizers, created in collaboration with the French/Italian pianist Jean Marc Caimi.
His latest album “Concrete Diving” (2009), released by the Swiss label ZHdK, is a collaboration with the Swiss composer Domenico Ferrari and features the Israeli cello player Karni Postel.
Ziv's music was also featured in art installations and in the contemporary dance show “Singular Sensation” by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Yasmeen Godder.
