Zmajevdah is a solo project. Grindcore at heart. A factor that I consider important is the 100% DIY aspect of the project, artwork included. In the end, I'm not really satisfied with this as a musical outlet for a number of reasons.
Second split with Smetnja, e-released by Sounds Abound netlabel, SA21. More info in this blog post. Maybe next time we even won't be underage har har. Direct download (archive.org; BTW fuck you, myspace). Note: 58 minutes long.
2009 - Twitch Savant & Zmajevdah - SPLIT
Well, soon. And a physical release eventually, with a fancy booklet and all. Note: we cover 'The Jenova' by GridLink.
2009 - Blaencathra & Zmajevdah - SPLIT
Should be soon as well. As soon as I finish my avant-gardening. Note: I actually like Camus.
2009 - the Dreadful Eardrum Assault & Zmajevdah - SPLIT
Yeah, soon. Bitcrushing noisecore. Note: 'Protostructure' and 'Blues for Bureaucracy' are remixes of 'Megastructure' and 'Ingram' (both from the split w/ Twitch Savant).
...
On a side note:
I'd like to do more split (e-)releases with someone, so feel free to contact me if interested.
Tražim bubnjara/e za: 1. superbrzi grajndkor bend (Dave Witte blast i to); 2. shoegaze / noise rock / free jazz / avant-vrtlarski bend.
Man, I must say "Perfect Blue" and "Kafka on the Shore" are like exactly what my ears want to hear. I simply cannot believe the creativity that oozes from your new songs. Kafka on the Shore is simply unbelievable... I really cannot believe what I'm hearing. Myspace sucks though, it only gets to 1:48 and then cuts off, but that first minute and 48 seconds are sooooo good, I need to hear the rest! Haha. Secondly, no, I have never listened to Mirror. I will definitely be sure to check them out! There's so much good music that comes out of Japan, I'm sure they are great. I know 100% that I will enjoy them; I have total faith in your judgment. Man, I'm so glad to hear your new stuff, it is incredible. Period.
Wow, I am speechless, thank you so much for your write up and overwhelming support! This has really made my day, I fucking love you! Haha, the new stuff is similar to The Black Wind in a psychedelic kind of way, but not totally like it. I really can't wait for your new songs man, I just listened to your 4 songs again and they just fucking rock. I think how you described my demo is closer to how the newer stuff is going to sound - post rock/math rock/poppy/psychedlic with perhaps a splash of doom metal thrown in. I'm excited to finish up.. once again, thank you soooo much, you are truly great!
Wow man, I don't know what to say, I am fucking flattered. First of all, I cannot fucking wait for the 3 new releases! Second, if you want to write a review of the demo I currently have, that would be a huuuge honor! I have a new one that I hope to have done really soon, recorded with good mics and a better program, so I should be done with that within a month or less. I can't wait for your new stuff... my newer stuff is heading in a way more psychedelic direction, but with odd time signatures, odd changes still, I think you will enjoy it! It's great to hear from you, once again! Good luck with everything, and let me know if you need me to send you anything! I'd be glad to mail you some demos if you'd like!
man you'll LOVE jesus egg. its the best tribute band to DxAx I've ever heard, and I must say I searched quite a lot for years :o) but their stuff are pretty hard to find. Ive got two EP of them on my external HD (which I dont have with me rite now), I'll upload em to you if you want. you'll be stunned ! cheers !
So I've seen the whole fucking blog. AWESOME interview with Chang. Checked lots of things, included this Chrono Trigger jazz reinterpretation release. You made my day. Kudos !!!!!!!!
thanx man !! actually theres going to be two discordance axis covers on an upcoming DOTD release ;) trying to pay tribute to the best extreme band that ever lived on this motherfucking earth hehe. like you !
Hey dude, my friend Matt from Drug Induced Soundscapes showed me this rad band from New Zealand.. I'm pretty sure you will like this, they remind me of you.. Enjoy, buddy:
Hahaha.. sorry for all these comments.. I just listened to Neon Sea again with the lyrics.. I never realized you had lyrics up for your songs.. I really enjoyed the lyrics to Neon Sea and it was fun to follow along! I'm gonna see if your other songs have lyrics now ahahahaha
Also, I don't mean to verbally fellate you or anything, but I feel this needs to be said.. Neon Sea is one fucking amazing song. It is probably one of the most influential and inspiring songs I've ever heard in my life.. You rule.
Hey Buddy, just wanted to let you that I think Megastructure and Ingram are fucking sick!! You are one talented super bastard, these songs fucking blow my face off.. I cannot stop listening to your music. You always amaze me with your songs. I'm really glad you are still making music! Hope everything is well otherwise!
We have a 10mn-demo almost finished (we're at the mixing/mastering). I hope we'll give it the final touch on the 27th-28th. As soon as it's done, be sure that i'll send you a copy !
