What was once a satisfying outlet is now a more serious concern. I am the grand prize winner in the 2007 International Songwriting Competition for my collaboration “I’m Not Your Friend” with Eduard Glumov of Kazakhstan. I’ve been writing lyrics for a number of years and now they’re being read on a wider stage. Thank goodness for turning 40 and mid-life crises (ongoing).
I write almost everything. A freakish gift for the use (and abuse) of words, I shift from cabaret, to folk, to rock, to country, to indie, to jazz, to just about everything. I enjoy challenging myself to write clear, well-structured lyrics in different styles.
I’m now looking to find artists who are interested in my work – writing with me, or performing songs I’ve written with others. Now that I have a small song catalog, with different writers, and a backlog of lyrics, I’m looking for people who can help bring them to places where they can be heard.
