Bio
I’m a singer songwriter and guitarist living in music and trying to keep it real. I’m inspired by heart and soul, unusual sounds and the desire to express my feelings through more than words alone. I love music that pulls my organs in different directions, rushes up my spine and makes my head fizzy. I also like silence, the smell of peat & moss, jiggery-pokery, bubbles, old Hitchcock movies and hot sand between my toes & Olives. I grew up just east of the spaghetti junction, the first child of a Guitarist and a Herbalist. In the pram I listened to BB King, Django Reinhardt, Nick Drake, Pink Floyd & The Doors. At 4 I agreed to go to Ballet lessons on the promise i’d be getting new shoes, but was devastated when I discovered that they we’re not high heels. None the less from the first class I decided I was going to be a dancer. The majority of my childhood was spent creating musicals, then bulling and bribing my friends into taking part. When I was 7 I cut my first recording; a compilation of nursery rhymes for my baby brother. I think I enjoyed it more than he did though. My first paid job was as a dancer for BRMB radio’s live outdoor shows. This was thrilling because the audiences we’re huge! I can remember not being able to see where the sea of people ended ‘cause it was so far away from the stage. I started singing when I was 15 in intimate venues and developed a love for improvised music. Very quickly I decided that I wanted to be a musician now and gladly I’ve not changed my mind since. I moved to Manchester when I was 18 and a whole world of incredible musical talent opened up before my ears. It never ceases to amaze me how so much genius can exist in one place. It’s a very exciting time for me at the moment. Last year I released my first album with The Magic Beans and I’m now working on my solo Album. I’m also part of a brilliant collective called Odbod who all work together to create music, support each other and promote the North as the musical treasure chest it is. ........PUT AN IMAGE AT THE TOP OF YOUR PAGE...... ....Generate your own contact table!.. .. ............Myspace Layouts.. - ..Myspace Editor.. - ..Hot Comments.. - ..Image Hosting.... .............. .. .. .. .. .. .... .............. .. .. .. .. .. .... -
