ZOHARATH .... It is a name that came to me in a dream in which I was a female sword-wielding warrior. Therefore,it is MY nickname and MINE alone! Wondered if such a name existed since it came to me in a dream. Did a little research to see if there was any real meaning allowed me to discover interesting results. Although the whole name has no existence, Zohar does. When you have time to read, go to Answer.com, and type in Zohar. The fact that I am spiritually grounded made it easy to understand why that name came to me in my dream in the first place. If you like to study religion, the results that I got from Answer.com as well as other search engines makes for interesting reading. Come to find out recently that in Hebrew,Zohar means "splendor and radiance",which explains a lot of things that has happened to me as well as why. If you're lucky enough to come across a dictionary of Angels, then you'll also find a name close to mine, which is Zoharariel. My real name,however,is a common one.To those who don't know or care to know,it might as well remain a mystery. Besides,Zoharath sounds so much cooler than my actual name. As far as personality/characteristic traits are concerned,I consider myself to be: a good listener,kind,considerate,thoughtful,have an unpredictable SOH. Although not professionally trained, I'm capable of going by instinct to give good massages. Also like to receive them as well. I'm tense as well as intense. I'm pretty much level-headed,reasonable,generous,free-hearted,articulate,loving,spiritual,highly romance-oriented,affectionate,playful,out-going,fun-loving,unselfish,perceptive,one who speaks her mind in a civilized manner,remains on an even keel,laid-back,loyal,dependable,responsible,hard-working,compassionate,a little eccentric,and very peaceful. I REFUSE TO ALLOW SOCIETY TO DICTATE TO ME (whenever possible anyway - LOL!) because I have my own beat that I carry and bang the drum to,and NO ONE has the right to change that. More or less, I guess you can say I'm a rebel WITH a cause. Heritage - wise,aside from being African-American,my ancestors were Indian (I have no idea what tribe unfortunately),Scotch-Irish, and a wee bit o' Welsh. Try to keep my weight down by eating less,making healthier food choices,walking,cycling on a stationary bike, and kick-boxing. I'm always going to have a tomboy side to me because I don't consider myself a "wimpy woman", but I'll always be a lady with a heart of gold. Health Issues: An ongoing battle with depression. Classic chronic insomniac since the age of 7. Learned to just deal with it over the years. The same can be said with the sciatic nerve episodes as a result of being rear-ended in an auto accident back in 1991. That accident not only ruined my first car that was paid off, it ruined my life. It caused me to become a victim of circumstances beyond my control. Not feeling sorry for myself, just merely stating the knocks in my sorry life. You see, that accident caused me to lose a well-paying job that I had been at 2 months shy of 11 years. Fortunately, I'm blessed with a sweet & sunny dispostion because not everyone can survive on an average of 2 hours of sleep per night on a regular basis. As a result of an older generation, there are some things that I've kept traditional. As an only daughter born to older parents, I experienced watching my Dad(who also suffered with depression in addition to alcoholism and diabetes)go through his dying days with dignity from prostate cancer in August of 2001. Seriously guys, go get yourself checked out -- Dad felt no pain before he was diagnosed. My Mom lost a breast to cancer. She went through all the therapies and came out like a trouper. The weird thing is that when the cancer went away, it took away the asthma she had been suffering with since childhood. She's been cancer-free for over 25 years. So ladies, THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!! Still,cancer is a bastard of a thief. GUYS, DON'T YOU DARE THINK FOR ONE MOMENT THAT YOU ARE IMMUNE TO FROM THIS BECAUSE breast cancer CAN latch onto a man too. Problem is, you guys don't go to the doctor like you should.
SUMLUV4U.COM I live with/take care of my Mom, and will continue to do so until God decides to transfer one of us to Heaven first! 0:) Both of my parents were teachers. My Mom taught pre-schoolers and kindergarten,while my Dad taught Math at various high schools. I have a nephew who is temporarily living with me until he gets through college to become an accountant. Long-suffering comes with the territory of being a Christian,but NEVER forget:there is ALWAYS someone out there who has it worse than YOU. Remember to KEEP HUMBLE & to count your blessings.... It has gotten old hanging around my lady friends,especially when I have become the only one left in the circle who is STILL single. So now I go it alone. As you can see,I'm no spring chicken. I'm very loyal/monogomous when it comes to a serious/intimate/platonic relationship. I'm just a RARE,classic,distinctive SWEETHEART OF A LADY with a very distinctive VOICE who men keep passing on by for someone else(heavy Le Sigh..) It appears that I have become a walking contradiction in the sense that its looks as if I'm going to end up being an incureable romantic/loner. If I were meant to have SOME KINDA WONDERFUL MAN in my life,it will happen quite unexpectedly. I'm not looking around that often anymore because I've half way given up, and yet in the same breath, I'm trying to keep myself occupied while I've opted to instead to try to be more patient by putting more trust in God so that HE will cause THE RIGHT MAN TO SEE ME AND COME UP TO ME AND LET ME KNOW HE IS INTERESTED IN ME. My mentality at this point in my life is to take it one day at a time,and accept that I may be another statistic of those who deserves to be loved, but ends up going to the grave with something better awaiting for me in Heaven beyond my imagination/comprehension. Meanwhile, ....... this page has taken on a life of its own by turning into a Musicians' Courtyard,which I find rather amusing because fortunately,I have a great passion for a very wide variety of music.
