  • General

    A few random things I like: Dark Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Ben Folds, Mozart, Chopin, Firefly, old M-G-M musicals, rainstorms in the backwoods. Night in the desert. (Don't step on that snake!) 80s Rock -- you know you like it too. Just try not singing along with "Take on Me" or any random Journey song.

  • Music

    Far,far too many to list. Basically everything. Except gangsta rap. I'm not really big on country music either. And with a few specific exceptions, I like to pretend that 20th Century classical music didn't happen.

  • Movies

    I like movies. Good ones, usually. Occasionally, I enjoy a bad one too. It just has to be bad in the right, *good* way. The Lord of the Rings movies -- stunning. Hands down, the best, most moving films I've seen in my life.

  • Television

    I watch TV only when trapped like a rat in a public place that has enough of 'em on the walls that my eyes can't escape.

  • Books

    I read a *lot*. Lately, I've even experimented with reading ebooks on my phone, which makes for an enormous headache. But I'm convinced -- someday soon, ebook readers will get good enough that I will no longer have to haul around a zillion boxes of books when I move.

About me:

Walked out of the machine years ago. Done with career ambition and corporate success. Done with mass media and technology for technology's sake. Working on kindness and compassion. And music. All much tougher, but infinitely more worthwhile.

I do a variety of things, mostly having to do with musical theater, music and recorded sound. Googling me will reveal credits and reviews and the like. You'll find that I once had something to do with computers, and that a hometown swimming record I set more than 30(!) years ago still stands.

I play the piano with skill ranging from so-so to amazing, depending on how much I've been practicing. What my singing voice lacks in quality, I make up for in fearless enthusiasm. I hold black belts in two martial arts, run the occasional marathon, climb tall dangerous rocks and sometimes run up the down escalator.

Holding society together requires lots of upright, staid, practical folk who never wander from the expected path. I'm not one of them, and never will be. Too many questions I still must ask. Too many things I want to know.

I watch, wander, listen, study and learn, occasionally teach, sometimes join with like minded people and tell a story, or bring a dream to life.

    Hey I was wondering what you thought about laying down some holiday tracks before Christmas? I've always wanted to record some, and I think it also would be an awesome demo, not to mention a great gift for my family. Let me know what you think.     ok...so what do you think about creating musical fusion??!! Hear me out...lol...I am really interested in putting a demo CD together and need a studio, material, and a brilliant master mind to help...that is where you come in! I would even being willing to pay you!! Original material or covers...either way I think I need to get my voice out there? What do ya think?
