Ryan Lieske, Disturbed Man of Letters's Blurbs |
About me:
"Control the the things you can control, maggot! Let everything else take a flying fuck at you, and if you must go down, go down with your guns blazing!"
(Stephen King, THE DARK TOWER)
I am terrible with returning phone calls. This must be known. It is nothing personal, it's just a bad, bad habit of mine that I have a hard time doing anything about. I am human, and I do screw up from time to time. And when I do, I am contrite. However, I will only apologize ONCE. Don't try and convince me that your political views are the right ones if you make blanket judgments about the opposite side; same goes for religious views. I will probably only consider your views valid if I know that you understand both sides of an argument. I love to argue, and I will do it often. As I approach my mid-30's, I find my ability to ignore bullshit weakening. I am not an egotist, nor an elitist. I know I am often wrong. But that does not mean I am not vehement about the things I know I am right about.
I am a die-hard Horror Culture Activist. I am a Political Atheist; I distrust Republicans as much as I do Democrats. I disdain all things Pragmatic. I am a proud and INTENSE defender of First Amendment/Freedom of Speech Rights (and will die before they keep me from sa***********) I am a writer of dark, spooky things that hide under the bed (or in the head.) I am a long-winded satirist, with a kind heart (and I keep it in a jar on my desk.) I am also known as DjZombi and I spin Mp3s so the kids can rock out and dance. I am honest in my pretensions, and I lie about the rest (except when I'm telling the truth, which is often.) I belong to two cats, and they treat me well (except when they are hungry, then they are spiteful and loud.) I also like parenthesis.
