****Notice**** if there's any confusion between the recording qualities of the songs it's cuz they were all recorded at different places at different times by different people with different equipment under certain circumstances: either they were: recorded in Mike's basement before the flood; after the flood; or in Jim's basement.
Band History
----2006----
Shortly after the break up of his 1st band (%:DECEPTION:%), Oak Forest local musician Mike Sibley continued on with his quest to fulfill his musical carrer, he quickly grew a liking for extreme metal genres such as black metal, death metal, doom metal, grindcore, and other underground styles, as well as thrash and crossover styles. He decided to create something evil and sinister, a type of band whose likings were among the lines of massive amounts of blood, violence, zombies, and horror movies would greatly affect the way music would be made by them. In order to have this happen, Mike quickly started writing lyrics and notes for his crazy band idea, he would soon later go to fulfill his goal and find the perfect members in order to complete his dream and form one of the sickest bands ever.
----2007----
As Mike Sibley had lyrics and guitar parts for his songs, and as time went on, he recruited members from one of his former, as well as one of his current bands, including former (%:DECEPTION:%) drummer Nick "NG" Galgano, as well as former (%:DECEPTION:%) drummer/rECREATION bassist/Sonik Force bassist and punk addict Jim Mandell AKA "James Dean" to form his new band, Zombies For Gore. They started out as just a trio with mike on guitar and vocals, tht lasted 4 about a week until they noticed tht they were thin in their cords and then quickly added former (%:DECEPTION:%) guitarst/rECREATION guitarist Chris "33" Lancer to play lead guitar, and he's stuck in well ever sense. The history behind the creation of the band name is a well known secret, but if asked by anyone, either of the band members would most likely tell the story behind it anyway, so no big deal there. Mike along with Z4G went on to playing in his basement, which was finished into a fully operational professional quality recording studio constructed from his dad, whom which is the CEO for the once local and now defunct record label, Andrew Records; and started recording several songs, most the lyrics of which were written by Mike, except one written by Jim, and the few instrumentals, including "Zombie Intro",which were all composed by NG, Chris, and Jim alone while Mike took a brief leave of absence, plus the 3 songs that Chris wrote and sang. Eventually they made their way onto the band's 1st release, the self-titled album "Zombies For Gore", or simply labled "Z4G". It was during this time that drummer NG also created the term "skull buster" as the term used for any of the bands adoring fans, he was also responsible for creating the band's signature slogan, "Keep bustin' skulls" , which happens to be said continously by members and fans to each other alike. Not long after the 1st few practices and recording sessions, Mike took a leave short leave of absence from the band as a server flood badly damaged the studio equipment that was in his basement that the band would use to practice and record in. So, ...being bored with nothing to do,there was when Jim, NG, and Chris, setup a small temporary decent recording studio in Jim's basement, where for a week they wrote, played, and recorded the few instrumental songs which were then later released on the Z4G CD. Later, after his return and restoration of the basement studio, the band was back again playing and recording, with a few changes. Mike hit a small slump in which he had trouble writing songs and singing, and this created a small problem; until Chris stepped up and decided to play the role for a short while. He wrote the 3 songs, of which he played lead guitar and sang as Mike played the rhytym, and the band kept on moving. After this, Mike had finally come out of his slump for a short time, to write one more song, which he composed and sang lead . This song also made it's way onto the Z4G CD. Toward the end of the year, things went bad as Mike was caught smoking a blunt in his garage by his dad, arrested, jailed, fined, and disowned by his parents. This downfall had put him in a deep depression, he had locked himself in his room, and hadn't spoken to the other band members sense that one time...still, he was credited on the 1st CD's release, both as the lead singer as well as the rhythm guitarist, and main lyrics writer...
----2008----
After Mike's downfall, it seemed that the band was now doomed, at the time, as this marked his departure from Z4G for good. But soon afterword, NG, Chris, and Jim then finally decided not to lay Z4G to rest, and to keep the skullbustin' and bloodshed alive. As time went on, Chris and Jim had taken up the duty of song writing, as this will mean that now every member as contributed to song writing, as well as the lyrics list being completed. Upon a brief search for a new lead singer, we ended up Finding Kent Jarrick, a former coworker of NG's who always displayed his incredible death singing and guitar playing abilities...immediately after his try out for the band, he had been taken in immediately, songs for a up and coming release were being made into progress, but now were being up held on a waiting list as drummer NG had decided to leave the band for a short time on his own terms, becuz of musical and personal differences between him and Kent. Soon afterword(within 2 weeks time) Disputes between Kent and Jim/Chris got real bad 2 the point where things just got crazy, Kent had sense been dismissed from the band for good, with having NG coming back simultaneously, and with the lyrics and rhytyms still being dished out, we were able to find the help of then session guitarist Mike Johnz, whose extraordinary playing abilities have made it better to sound good. The band did continue to dish out the death like lyrics, the loud vocals, the amazing tremelo picking and shredding riffs, the heavy ass bass, and loud ass, fast , and hard hitting drumming...
----2009----
The band's hit a hard few curbs over the last few months, Jim has sense gone on hiatus with us to work with his own band Sonik Force. After a recent fight and scuffle between our session guitarist Mike Johnz and recording engineer Mike Sibley, Mr. Johnz has sense left us to join the Genocide Raid, while Z4G has agreed to let Mike Sibley to be reinstated as the permanant vocalist/guitarist, more shit to come in the near future, with new material on the way as well some shows over the summer(hopefully). Keep bustin' skulls!!!
