We are SUPER HAPPY & PROUD of EVERYONE involved in the October 11th, 2009 WORLD ZOMBIE DAY: Walk Again World Hunger event!
For the second year in a row, we hosted the event to benefit Gleaners Food Bank. The event took place October 11th in downtown Royal Oak where it's estimated that almost 500 zealous zombies took part in shambling through the city streets (count was lost at 450 but it's estimated that at least 25 more showed up after registration closed, and many more joined in after the walk began.
ZombieWalkDetroit.com will be updated the NIGHT of WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14th.

Creepy Rick of the 3-D Invisibles will be doing a rare (okay, FIRST EVER!) acoustic performance during registration! How flippin' terrific is that?!
World Zombie Day is a day when all fans of zombie culture can join together for an international charity event to help alleviate world hunger. Zombie Walk Against Hunger 2009 will be the second annual walk!
“The It’s Alive Show”, world record holders for the largest zombie walk ever, spearheads this event from the birthplace of zombie culture: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA!
A mass effort will be taken on worldwide to prove that charity, goodwill, and zombie love can flourish in every nation regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, or religion, and that no matter where or how we die…
WE WILL COME BACK!!!

We will be hosting the walk in Royal Oak this year. Why not Detroit? We do walk in Detroit, but the World Zombie Day event will be in Royal Oak this year, (we're looking at permits, etc. for Detroit next year).
We try to travel all over the place. We're roamers, you see. We've had walks in Royal Oak, Ferndale AND Detroit. The next one? Why, it may be in November in Hamtramck, it may be December in Pontiac, or it may be in YOUR neighborhood.
Either way, we sincerely hope to see you there!
