THE RULES
We may be Undead, but we are still bound by the laws of the city. So please keep in mind that any stupid hijinks you pull (like breaking things or attacking people who don't want to be involved) could put the kibosh on this or any future events. You will be responsible for any damage or problems you cause and we don't want anybody doing anything that would get them in trouble!
Here are the basic rules:
- No alcohol or drugs while marching (drinking afterwards at the Zombie Ball is encouraged for those over 21, however.)
- No touching or harassing bystanders
- No blocking of traffic. We must stay on the sidewalks and use cross walks. The city says so!
- No destruction of property. This includes bloody handprints!!! We won't do this again if we have problems with this!
- No scaring children
- No entering any galleries or shops
- stay on the sidewalks and obey traffic lights
- No lawbreaking of any sort. You will be liable for your actions.

Contests announced!
For those of you under 18 we have one catagory:
best zombie under 18.
For those of you over 18, all prizes will be given away during the zombie ball. You must be present to win. Here are the catagories:
Best Makeup.
Plan ahead. We want to see more people doing their own ideas for makeup this year, so we made this contest to encourage you to come ready to go. Plus, no makeup lines this way! Visit Spirit Halloween at 48th & O st or Party America at 56th & Hwy 2 to get your supplies!!
Best Costume.
Be creative and try to layer your clothes for best effect! Keep in mind that it may be rather cool this Saturday.
Best Zombie.
This will go to the zombie that stays in character during the whole walk and has the best moves.
Best Group.
This is for those of you that want to come up with a theme. Whether it is two people or a whole group.
About me: UPDATE!: We have our date for the 3rd annual Lincoln Zombie Walk. It will be Saturday, October 10th, 2009! See the how to join us section and the schedule of events for the day. All below.
We will be dressing like zombies and walking through several areas of downtown Lincoln, just to have some fun. It is guaranteed to be one of the most fun nights you have this year. There are 3 ways to be invovled:

You can come down to The Bourbon Theater at 1415 O St anytime between 3:30pm and 7pm. Come already dressed as a zombie, but be there by 7pm! BE CREATIVE! Prizes will be given away in several catagories, to be announced soon!
#2
You can show up at the State Theater at 1415 O St at 3:30pm in clothes you don’t mind getting destroyed. We will then put some makeup/blood on you. We will be charging $3 to do your makeup for you,(but it only goes to pay for the makeup, blood, and supplies we use.) We highly recommend getting there early for the best results. As it gets later and more zombies arrive, the makeup goes faster. We'll zombify you as best we can. At a specific time we will stop taking names and you will be a victim on the route. Get there early and enjoy the in-house events while you wait.

Or you can be a victim. Meet us at the Theater by 7pm at the latest for our pre-walk talk. After the zombies leave the theater, just put yourself on the walking path to be an attack victim. (preferably near unsuspecting witnesses!) Place a large “X” in ductape on you chest. This will signify that you are a willing participant, (see the image below.) If there is any doubt about who wants to be devoured, we will not devour them. Only people who obviously are victims will get attacked. So come find us. Don't make us do all the work. Remember, we are slow moving brainless zombies. Again, wear clothes that can be destroyed. They may get torn and WILL get bloodied!! When you rise from the swarm of zombies you can join the walk.
What is a zombie walk? "Zombie Walks" have become a WORLD-WIDE phenomenon! Starting from the Flash Mob scene where groups of people decide to perform a random, but coordinated act in front of unsuspecting people, for the simple purpose of getting great reactions. Thus, the zombie walk or zombie crawl was born...or revived, as it would be more accurately described!!!
The Lincoln Zombie Walk brings you a SNEAK PEEK of ZOMBIELAND!
Join us for a special midnight premiere of the new movie, Zombieland on Thursday Oct 1st. The festivities will begin around 10:30pm and the movie starts at midnight. It will only be showing at the Edgewood theater at 56th and Hwy 2.
hey, sorry about this, but we're actually playing at about 11:00pm or so...but you should still come out at 8:00 or 8:30 so you can have some drinks with us and hang out, it'll be a great time...bring some buddies....whatever!
hey there :) i wanted to personally drop in and invite you out to our gig at Duggan's on Friday. we'll be playing at nine, so if you can make it out, show up around 8:00pm or 8:30pm. come say hi and we'll have some drinks and cool out before we play. it'd be super awesome to see you there, but if you can't make it, thats cool too, and hope to see you out at a show sometime soon :)
i had a wonderful time at the Zombie Walk/Ball ('convention'...?) on 09-10-09. it's been over 4 years since i've been on vacation; it's no exaggeration when i say it's the closest to one i've had since!
