Lincoln's Zombie Walk's Interests
General
They are coming on Saturday September 20th, 2008!!!!
Music
You can join us three ways:
ONE: Meet at (location tbd), on September 20th, time TBA (around 5 to 7pm,) in your own zombie getup.
TWO: Meet at that same spot and time in clothes you don't care to have a teensy bit destroyed, and we'll zombify you as best we can (if any makeup/effects gurus are in attendance, we will certainly look to them for help).
THREE: Position yourself somewhere along the route and make sure you've got a piece of duct tape prominently displayed on your shirt so that we'll know you want to be eaten. (see below) If there is any doubt about who wants to be devoured, we will not devour them. Only people who obviously are into it will get attacked. So come find us. Don't make us do all the work.
THE RULES
We may be Undead, but we are still bound by the laws of the city. So please keep in mind that any super-retarded hijinks you pull (like breaking things or attacking people who don't want to be involved) could put the kibosh on this or any future events. You will be responsible for any damage or problems you cause and we don't want anybody doing anything that would get them in trouble!
Here are the basic rules:
- No alcohol or drugs while marching (drinking afterwards is encouraged for the over 21 set, however)
- No touching or harassing bystanders
- No blocking of traffic. We must stay on the sidewalks and use cross walks. The city says so!
- No destruction of property
- No scaring children
- No entering any galleries or shops - stay on the sidewalks
- No lawbreaking of any sort

How to get eaten — a visual tutorial
If you'd like to get devoured by the mass of zombies during the march, keep this simple guideline in mind:
Note how the absence of duct tape equals not getting devoured.
So if you'll be waiting along the route in the hopes of getting devoured, please try to make it obvious that that's what you want by sporting a huge duct-tape X on your shirt, so we don't pass you by. (It's likely to be crowded and you might be overlooked, so keep running ahead of us until we see you.)
No obvious markings and we're going to ignore you. Just to be safe.

The Zombie Walk 2007 was a great success! We had a final total of 131!!! That was spectacular. I have to say we made a big impression on everyone we passed by and all the zombies had a great time. Thanks to everyone that participated or helped out!

"Zombie Walks" have become a WORLD-WIDE phenomenon! Starting from the Flash Mob scene where groups of people decide to perform a random, but coordinated, act in front of unsuspecting people, the zombie walk or zombie crawl was born...or revived, as it would be more accurately described!!!
Now Lincoln is going to join the ranks of cities that have held a zombie walk!!! The date is set for our 2nd annual walk on Saturday, September 20th, and the time will be announced later.
We will be dressing like zombies and walk through several areas of downtown Lincoln, just to have some fun. It is guaranteed to be one of the most fun nights you have this year. Here’s how you can be involved:
You can come down, already dressed as a zombie.
You can show up at (location tbd) in clothes you don’t mind getting destroyed. We will then put some makeup/blood on you.
Or you can put yourself on the walking path to be an attack victim. Place a large “X” in ductape on you chest. This will signify that you are a willing participant. Again, wear clothes that you don’t mind getting destroyed. They may get torn or bloodied. When you rise from the swarm of zombies you can join the walk.
