Born in the midst of a Leeds musical hurricane, Zoo in Flames are fashioned from all the things that should get done but never do. Originally, the movement that would become Zoo in Flames was some kind of non-ritual LS6 hobby for Foxy and Dave.
After too long of other things getting in the way, friends were drafted in to write and create a new sound with the only stipulation being a keenness to make music. Jamie struck out on vocals, with Andy delivering bass, and Tom exorcising the drums.
Through late autumn and high winter the band toiled with their craft. The intention of fusing a traditional guitar sound with modern electronic synthesizers and effects highlights the intensity of the cacophonous vigour of the band.
Come spring, the fire had been ignited. Although perhaps currently junior in a sense to the rest of the Leeds scene, the band have a sense of well being that only comes with knowing that what they hold can't be held forever.
The band themselves have very varied tastes, thus adding to the genre-less aura the band possess, from modern-day guitar music to avant-garde electronica, add a fistful of obscurities and the famine may start to waiver.
We thank you so much for the add!.. We’re just a small band, but we’d be delighted if you listened to our Garage Rock songs and you sent us any kind of comment!! If u couldn’t we’ll be happy if you just let this comment be shown, so that ur fans can get to know us. ☠

Hello,
We are playing the lovely Cardigan Arms on the 21st of March. Being foreigners from Sheffield, it would be grand if you could pop in and see us and bring a few other Leedsies with you if you are free.
Here are a few nice things people have said about us. Have a listen on our page and see if you like what we are up to
"AN AMAZING LIVE ACT, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN" (Sandman Magazine)
"AN IMPRESSIVE SET FROM A BAND WITH A KNACK FOR WRITING CATCHY SONGS AND DELIVERING THEM LIVE AS WELL AS IN THE STUDIO" (Sandman Magazine)
"PROMISING SONG WRITERS" (Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6)
"THESE DAYS I FIND THRASH AND POWER POP A BIT REPETITIVE, BUT THIS WAS REMINISCENT OF MORRISSEY WHILE STILL BEING PERSONAL, I HEAR THE POSSIBILITY OF A GOOD FUTURE. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU COULD SUPRISE US ALL ONE DAY". (Paul Gambaccini, BBC Radio 6)

Currently Sweden's hottest export, THOSE DANCING DAYS combine "Sweet as apple-pie pop" with a devilishly sassy Northern Soul and it's this unique combination that has the got the whole of the UK falling over itself and for good reason too!
The subtle dynamics in their songwriting of JOHN and JEHN and the balance between chaos and beauty and the mastery of heartbreaking melodies Expect beautifully skewed hymns in the key of Serge Gainsbourg. http://www. myspace. com/johnjehn
Wakefield's THE RESEARCH are makers of fun, but also write songs that are like punches in the stomach that knock the wind out of you but afterwards you agree that you feel much better for it. www. myspace. com/theresearch

Panther is some mutant form of Charlie. Having recently supported The Gossip, Panther’s music is hard match of damaged soul, falsetto disco and broken synth fueled freakouts which is as addictive as it is challenging. This solo affair of Charlie Salas-Humara isn’t easily ignored for his unpredictable and energetic performances tainted with throbbing bass, minimalistic hooks and jittery dance routines. Panther’s influences run deep and take as much from Pop and R&B as Free Jazz and Punk. http://www. myspace. com/panthertouch
7Hertz
Fluid and engaging, 7 Hertz fluctuate and mutate live before your very ears. incorporating all or none of the following instruments - basson, violin, voice, double bass, french horn, glockenspiel, clarinet, mandolin, trumpet - they improvise glorious pieces with total, beautiful spontaneity. http://www. myspace. com/the7hertzband

TIGERS! have played with almost every good band on earth including COUGHS, KIT, THE LOCUST, EATS TAPES, FELIX KUBIN, WOLVES...ETC! TIGERS! are not funky! Thats just bullshit talk to encourage people to get into PRINCE! TIGERS! will kick your dick clean off regardless of whether you have one or not.
to paraphrase m.j. fox '....maybe you guys aren't ready for this yet.....but your kids are gonna love it.' http://www. myspace. com/tigers3000
