Hanging out with friends, phoning my sister in Regina, talking to the rest of my rather large and sometimes bizarre family, movies, reading, writing, poker night, baseball with Team Zoo, studying French (a slow process, but I WILL become bilingual eventually...), and imagining ridiculous jokes and long stories with like-minded friends (and FYI, becoming bilingual is NOT one of the jokes).
Music
I have a very diverse musical taste, including 70s and 80s rock, pop, jazz, electronic, and others. I particularly enjoy music from Europe. I love artists who write songs that make me think. Some of my favourite artists and bands include Genesis, The Police/Sting, Duran Duran, Pink Floyd, Foreigner, Chicago, The Guess Who/Burton Cummings, Jefferson Starship, Deff Leopard, Gowan, ABBA, Rob Thomas, Dave Matthews Band, Enigma, Alan Parsons Project, The Postal Service, Michael Buble, Chris Botti, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Rufus Wainwright, Jack Johnson, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Gordon Lightfoot.
Movies
I enjoy movies from a variety of genres. Some of my favourites include The Truman Show; Brokeback Mountain; Planes, Trains, and Automobiles; LOTR; C.R.A.Z.Y.; Finding Neverland; Big Fish; Bend it Like Beckham; Rabbit-Proof Fence; Along Came A Spider; Minority Report; Titan A.E.; Phantom of the Opera; Whale Rider; anything directed by Tim Burton.
Television
I really don't watch much TV because I never seem to have time, but I loved Babylon 5 and Deep Space Nine when it was playing. I like to try and catch episodes of Law and Order, and CBC's The Hour with George S...
Books
I have always liked fantasy and sci-fi books, but lately I have also been trying to read some mainstream novels, historical literature and Canadian authors. Some of my favourite books include: Life of Pi (Yann Martel); The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho); The Tomorrow City (Monica Hughes); Dark Cities Underground (Lisa Goldstein); Finder (Emma Bull); Fallen Heroes (Dafydd ab Hugh); Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling); LOTR (J.R.R. Tolkien); The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Mark Haddon); The Zookeeper (Alex MacLennan); Comfort and Joy (Jim Grimsley)
About me: In addition to being extroverted, most of my friends would describe me as a nice person with a crazy sense of humour.
My friends and family are pretty important to me, and I like to think I would do anything to help others. I believe in serving the public and trying to make a difference to make the world a better place, and that is probably one of the main reasons why I enjoyed working at the Assiniboine Park Zoo from 1999 – 2006, and why I enjoy my current job in human resources with the Manitoba Civil Service, where I have worked since 2005.
I am a fairly optimistic and upbeat person, especially since coming out to everyone in 2006, and I feel a lot more honest, truthful, and positive about where I am going and who I am as a person.
So that's me in a nutshell. If you have any questions, just fire them my way! :)
My weekends not to shabby. Have to work through it but hey, what ya gonna do. When I find my Sugar Daddy then I guess working wont be a prob no more. LOL Anyways, Big Hugs sweets!
