Distance yourself from the idiots on their knees to public imbecility; slap the Philistines in the face! Salon des Refusés is a new night at The Legion on Old Street from 8-12 on October 23rd. The price is £3. Exhibitors include bands Micron 63 and Cementimental; DJs are Heidi Heelz, The Glimmer Sisters and Rebels from The Waist Down. The public won’t understand-the public will think it indecorous–and so it is!
We kick-start the autumn program this Saturday with a far-out trio of bands. From Parma, Italy come the self-styled ‘kings of acid rock’ Sun Sparks. Then we have a return appearance from psych-ravers & Arthur Brown’s backing band Instant Flight. And finally, making the trip from west London, are highly regarded space-rock instrumentalists Lunar Dunes. On deck duty this month are the jiver from Jakarta, Hugh Dellar, and young buck Nico.
Shot By Both Sides heads south to Brixton Windmill on Friday 5th September, with a Spektakular Soireé - expect degeneracy and bloodlust!
