   About ZooMuzik
Zoo Muzik is made by B*Licious and GK Machine with assistance from Henry Fondler.

B*Licious plays breaks, disco, funk, house, electro, castanets

GK Machine plays techno, afro, acid, beats, punk, funk, disco, cyber, martian swamp grooves

Henry Fondler plays with himself

And the story they tell you is this:

Unleashed in Glasgow is a new night for those of you wanting something a little wilder - Yessssireeeee - there's a new beast in town and it's none other than the gloriously unrestrained phenomenon that is ZooooooooooMuZik...RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR.

Shake your cages and escape to an altogether new kind of place. This baby is the brainchild of Glasgow veteran DJ of the primal turbotech voodoo acid swamp sound GK Machine (Transport, Open, Ultima, Area 51, Go Bang!, Mondo Scuro, Yoodoo Voodoo) and sizzling hot partner in crime Miss B*Licious (Carnival Arts).

The pair will house a new and intimate sweat-inducing dancefest in Blackfriars basement that'll make you feel you've walked into the disco room on Noah's Ark. Coming from deep out the jungle and into yr city, growling with base lust and flagrant disregard for all things controlled, domesticated, civilised and pacified. Wild style brain-breaking physical exercise for your MIIIIIIND, body and your SOUL.

You're sure to feel it from your feet to your ears.......he he.....on the menu we got afropunk, tribal, psychotech, speedbass, electromorphin' handclappin' psychedelic hippie freakout beats with the disco devil ridin' shotgun on Dionysus' chariot rollin' through the Garden of Eden, Adam on drums, Eve on bass and the slithery serpent makin sure everyone else is ON everything else!!! Ha ha. Yessssssss.

But they don't stop there in their own house. No! They look further to see who out there also servin' this kind of sound and managed to find equal talent around the world: Tim "Love" Lee (Tummy Touch, Boy Scout Recordings, RONG Music/DFA) will appear from way over in New York City to make the crowd over here explode in joy and ecstasy on Friday September 18!!! We also have had Soft Rocks from Brighton who are masters of the filthy, yes filthy, electro disco re-edit, emerging from the lowdown depths of Brighton town and they appeared here, yes here, in Glasgow for our very own voodoo funk explosion on Friday 19 June. And there WILL be more.

And here is where you'll see it first!!!!!

But before I tune on out and let you wander off with your own sweet thoughts about what strange musical delights are gonna be happening here let me bring something else to yr attention!

We are pleased to announce that none other than the legendary Carnival Arts crew will be providing custom designed decor exclusively for these nights!! For those of you not familiar with these bohemian art terrorists then let me explain to you - especially those of you who might be climbin' the walls at our primal rumpus - that when you see those zebras comin' out of the walls at you, you won't be imagining them, no sirree. They'll be REAL ZEBRAS. And they'll be COMIN' OUT THE WALLS!!! Yesssssss. OK, they may not be living and breathing but they will be there. And depending on how you feel, you will actually be able to touch them. Can you beat that? Huh? And there'll be oh so much more....but I won't ruin the surprise!

So that's all fer now.

Over and out.

Mr. X

Jungle Jam'll stay right where it is :)

Instant gratification is not what this is all about is it? Hmmmm? Isn't there something about the path being more important than the destination??

ha ha :)

Loving the monkey chatter on jungle jam.
You should put it at the top of the play-list so more people hear it
